Wow. The dub is actually GOOD! I like all the voices. Brad Swaile is a decent Light, but I bet he'll improve over time. Ryuk's voice is great. It's all going to hinge on Allesandro Juliani though. If L sucks, it'll mess it all up.

But so far, great. Drummond and Swaile gave solid performances, and nothing was cut or messed up.

There are places where I actually like it better than the original. Light's VA is more emotional and, in some places, more believable. Ryuk's VA is pretty decent - at least he's got the laugh down pat.

Thought it was pretty dang good. Light's voice wasn't bad at all, but I need to wait a little while longer for one of his long inner monologs to see how his voice really does it for the evil part. and Ryuk's voice I loved, nice.

I haven't seen it. I just don't like Death Note anymore now that it's a bit overrated now and that it's way too repetitive.

But I'll look around for it.

Ryuk sounds fine, but I don't think Light sounds evil enough, then again it is just the beginning. I'm waiting for L.

Yeah. It all comes down to L's voice. If it sucks, then the whole dub will suck pretty much. L pwns. So, if Swaile can keep it up, and Juliani can do a decent L, then we'll finally have a great dub. Misa's voice doesn't matter, cause she's meant to be irritating. Gonna have to wait a week (or two? Don't remember if L shows up with his normal voice in 2) to pass judgement on the dub. But, my friends, who usually hate dubs, loved this one.

This show was pretty cool. Never heard of it really other than a friend that reads shoen Jump. But i saw it on adult swim and it looks interesting. I guy got hit by a truck for being a perv, thats awesome!

But yeah, DN is amazing, and I hope that people who never knew about the manga start to love it. It really does deserve its fanbase.

Sadly I missed it so I'm watching it on adultswim.com as I type.Glad to see Brad Swaile is being give some kind words. He gets alot of flack for being the second Lan on Megaman NT warior. Man it's Psycho Quatre all over again

L's voice indeed kicks ass, although hardcore L fans might get split across the middle. He conveys the deadpan-ness of the Japanese version while not sounding completely bored, even a bit playful.

I think this dub is pretty good^^ it's one of my fav animes and the voices are amazing compared to other crappy dubs. lol yeeah I think they had good voices =D

The English dub is better than the Japanese, I think. Tried watching Japanese at first but the voices just don't seem to match the characters as well as the English.

I do enjoy the English dub; it's better than most dubs out there. (Naruto's Japanese dub is much better than the English).
