I have not watched Cartoon Network in a long time now...what's changed about it?

iodashi
05-07-2008, 08:29 PM
toonami is almost gone. and all of the good cartoons are gone.

Blaydrix
05-07-2008, 08:49 PM
ah, I've found my home.

DARN YOU CARTOON NETWORK FOR TAKING OFF THE GOOD SHOWS AND SHOWING THE SUCKY ONES.

Thank you.

For me Cartoon Newtwork officialy died last year with the ending of the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, after a long and painful struggle.

R.I.P. Cartoon Network

I stoped watching it because it was that bad.

SSY
05-08-2008, 02:04 PM
Didn't they also cancel Ed, Edd and Eddy?

Blaydrix
05-08-2008, 02:05 PM
Not sure if they canceled it, but I do know it is over.

SSY
05-08-2008, 02:19 PM
I almost forgot to mention that they decided to cancel One Piece.

Blaydrix
05-08-2008, 02:21 PM
Which I am totally pissed about. Does that mean we'll never hear the dub for some of the best episodes?! Or will they continue releasing DVDs?! If they stop that I will be super pissed.

SSY
05-08-2008, 02:24 PM
CN is not the one who owns One Piece. Funimation owns One Piece and they will keep releasing UNCUT DVDS whether the show is on air or not.

Blaydrix
05-08-2008, 02:30 PM
I knew it was owned by Funimation. It's just that I figured maybe they needed CN funding or something. I'm glad they will continue producing DVDs but I probably won't be able to buy them. Plus it will take a long time to catch up. Will they be dubbing the filler arcs they skipped? What about Little Garden? I hate filler but I would like to see Little Garden. I have no idea why 4Kids decided to skip it.

SSY
05-08-2008, 02:56 PM
They will be dubbing all the episodes. Plus they are releasing a new box set every two months.

Blaydrix
05-08-2008, 03:46 PM
Every two months? with what, 13 episodes? *groan* that will take forever. Not to mention the fact that I can't buy them.

SSY
05-08-2008, 03:48 PM
We should get back on topic.

Blaydrix
05-08-2008, 04:31 PM
yeah, sorry.

SSY
05-08-2008, 07:43 PM
Anyways, what do you think is the worst thing the new Cartoon Network has done.

iodashi
05-08-2008, 08:31 PM
ok, wtf? they took one piece off and replaced it with samurai jack!!

themindisonfire
05-08-2008, 09:31 PM
Have you seen the new Tom?
He's like an aquatic robo-thing.

themindisonfire
05-08-2008, 09:32 PM
That's a good thing.

SSY
05-09-2008, 05:08 AM
That's not a good thing.

iodashi
05-09-2008, 07:12 AM
samurai jack is a good cartoon, but when they replace it with one piece, ITS ON!!!

Blaydrix
05-09-2008, 02:07 PM
I like second generation Tom. This new one sucks.

SSY
05-09-2008, 02:10 PM
I agree.

iodashi
05-09-2008, 04:16 PM
i agree also.

iwatch2muchanime
05-09-2008, 04:56 PM
I quite like this Tom. Since the whole reason of this layout is a 10 year recycle of all the other Toms and ships, it's quite cool.

iodashi
05-09-2008, 04:57 PM
the other tom had a better ship and everything. the new tom is a little kid.

themindisonfire
05-09-2008, 11:08 PM
It's a GREAT thing.

iwatch2muchanime
05-10-2008, 05:22 AM
haha what? Tom's aren't kids or adults, they're robot models, all with the same attitude just with different sizes and Steven J BLum voices. THIS one was made for the 10 year anniversery of the show, using the demolished parts of ships as the new design, AKA representing 10 years of service. That's why it's cool. whether or not he looks cool is a different matter, but the fact thaey did that is cool.

SSY
05-10-2008, 06:43 AM
It's not a great thing that they took off a show that is still running for a show that has been cancelled.

EdBat
06-01-2008, 10:05 AM
WTF you guys! Samuri Jack was an excellent show!

iodashi
06-01-2008, 10:52 AM
i agree with you.

iodashi
06-01-2008, 10:55 AM
but one piece is better.

Anime seems to not do very well on cartoon network if you ask me. Naruto is the only one that seems to have lasted out side of adult swim since toonami moved to saterday. then again i have a big dislike that all of the Mech anime seems to get put into the 1:30 am time slot. I can't say up that late and be watching tv. Was Seed doing that bad that they moved it so late?

iodashi
06-01-2008, 07:17 PM
i agree with you. CN is the one of the only anime stations in america. we cant have them changing the time slots, and cansling them!

sajeev50
06-23-2008, 08:56 PM
I used to watch it when I had satellite TV but that was years ago.

I can't believe that Toonami's failing. Toonami was the best thing about it

007flash
06-24-2008, 09:52 AM
I think Samurai Jack's an awesome show, but they should have replaced Ben 10 Alien Force with it and not One Piece. Also, I'm mad that they reduced Toonami from 4 hours to a meager 2.

sajeev50
06-24-2008, 09:54 AM
Wow, they still show Samurai Jack. I used to love that show.

Toonami should have at least 6 hours if you ask me....

Tasman001
06-24-2008, 10:27 AM
there is another, but they don't show near as much Sci-fi channel still has it's animonday block
which I'm gonna start watching july 28th for TTGL, but besides those 2 you have to pay for the other ones which really sucks.
so Thank god for the internet.

Ratchetandclank

I hate them for getting rid of "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy

ninjasrule58
07-05-2008, 08:59 PM
All I have to say is....THANK GOOD FOR THE INTERNET. As Tasman001 put it, of course.

I have to say that I'm only watching it for two things now. Toonami(is going downhill, thank God Naruto is still there) and a new show, Total Drama Island. I like it because it has more mature humor, I guess.

It sucks, because they got rid of some good shows, like Samari Jack, Ed, Edd 'n Eddy, and YuYu Hakusho(still haven't forgiven them for that, and replaced it with crap. I believe they call it the Nickelodeon Syndrome...

ninjasrule58

The least they could do is this. If a show isn't doing that well, they could switch around the timeslots instead of cancelling it all together. How do you think Toonami lost One Piece? It was pushed back and back, until a majority lost interest and viewership plummeted. The same might happen to Naruto if the filler doesn't end soon enough. Or, they don't air Shippuden all together. Let them not take down the show most of us are clinging on to!

eric2009
07-13-2008, 01:36 PM
u people in america are lucky, in uk we hardly have any anime shown on tv at least one or two..

iodashi
07-13-2008, 02:19 PM
thats why they invented the "internet" XD

PhillyEagles4Life
07-13-2008, 06:12 PM
I miss the old Toonami line up from a couple years ago when they had Dragonball, DragonballZ, Rurouni Kenshin and Yu Yu Hakusho <img src='/images/emoticons/smiley6.png'>

iodashi
07-13-2008, 09:35 PM

Oi it's a hard thing to bear. I remember the days when CN had a rich selection of cartoons. From Bugs Bunny to DBZ. It really got the nostolgia blood boiling. Now I see them showing the same show for hours on end, and they weren't that spectacular to begin with. Where is the variety, the original humor, the no holds barred violence that made you laugh in almost any situation? I really do weep for this generation of children. They're being denied some of the greatest shows and comedy of the time.

eric2009
07-14-2008, 05:38 PM
well now in england we dont have toonami anymore because of its crappy shows with old sitcoms now its replaced with Cartoon Network TOO which is basically the same

HeavyDDR
07-16-2008, 12:18 AM
Flapjack and Family Guy is the only reason I still watch Cartoon Network.

And that Total Drama Island.

iodashi
07-16-2008, 07:08 PM
well, adult swim is still awesome.

Blaydrix
07-16-2008, 07:10 PM
Family Guy is win. Robot Chicken can be good. American Dad is okay. Everything else? FAIL.

iodashi
07-16-2008, 07:13 PM

Blaydrix
07-16-2008, 07:14 PM
Futurama was bought by Comedy Central, and Boondocks is good, I forgot that one.

Blaydrix
07-16-2008, 09:57 PM
I like it too.

iodashi
07-16-2008, 09:58 PM

Blaydrix
07-16-2008, 10:06 PM
I thought it did before I watched an episode.

iodashi
07-16-2008, 10:09 PM
