Anyone read 'Yu-Gi-Oh Shadow Games'?

ive just started reading the manga (only got volume 2 cos they didnt have no.1 anywhere -.-'')
ive only ever seen the yu-gi-oh one and the yu-gi-oh duelist one. does the shadow games one have shadow games in its title?(wondering because it sounds super special awesome and i wanna buy it xp)

Shadow Games is the regular Yu-Gi-Oh one.

I own volume 6 because that's when Bakura appears and I couldn't resist buying it (I'd buy more but I need to save some money). I've also read volume 1 and I've seen the anime version of this series and it's quite good. Different from the Yu-Gi-Oh we all know better, but still really good.

You mean the very first part of the story around when Yugi first gets the Millenium Puzzle? Yeah, that was in the Shonen Jump magazine so I read it.

And no, 4Kids didn't force Takahashi to turn it into a series based on a children's card game, his editors did.

Well yeah, the art was worse because it was the very beginning of the series. You can't really blame the manga-ka (forget his name)

I remember reading that Takahashi originally wanted it to be a series that would expose kids to all sorts of games, not just card games (although they did have Monsters and Wizards). I loved the part where they played an RPG (with miniatures!) with Bakura (Monster World story arc). Everything about Yugi was so great in that part... His Magic Hands that rubbed enemies and chibi-fied them... And one of his monsters looked so much like Kirby that I forget its name.

I'm in the middle of reading these; in fact, I just got some new ones two days ago (Borders was having a sale).

I love this series and wish the later versions would have kept the concept of multiple types of games. They were psychological and fast-paced, and some of the strategies Yami can come up with are insane! Not to mention he's an evil pyromaniac...that's pretty awesome.

I don't have it all (still missing volumes 2, 3 and 4) but, yeah, I love it. Makes me glad 4Kids doesn't have a manga translating arm. And I hope they don't take that as a suggestion.

I liked it. It had this cool Jekyll and Hyde thing going. And actual characters. I kind of wish Takahashi would do an alternate universe continuation of YuGiOh that followed this storyline instead of getting into card games.

I read the first three volumes (its all my library has of Shadow Games). I prefer Duelist Kingdom for its story and artwork.

I liked the early chapters better as well it was like Ghost Rider meets a gaming MacGuyver. Also liked the school parts and the kid who was into the span ripoff.

i'm eradin on onemanga.com, and they aint got all of them, so i watched the anime and am w8n 4 the chapter 2 update. too bad it was only 27 episodes (which is short even for anime), id've loved to watch it on tv (as long as 4kids didnt get it)

i must admit 5 years back i did read a manga.... i read love hina manga because i loved the show.... after i read it i realized how bad the show was ... and i loved the show to death.... after that i stopped reading mangas..
