It's as interesting as it is/was inevitable, it has HSDPA internet which is kinda amusing when you think about it.
As much as I like quirky/unusual technology, I think it's amazingly silly, but people will buy it, and when they do, I'll be waiting with my vid camera so I can put a video on youtube of people talking into a watch [smiley2]

I don't think that's silly at all. It's practical and has a hell of a lot more usefullness than 99% of what crap like the iPhone has to offer.

Also, talking into it would make you feel like a secret agent

I remember back in early 2000-2002 when one's cellphone...IT WAS JUST A CELLPHONE. It had no mp3 player or neat realtime camera capabilities. No touchpad or whatever nifty features that cellphones have-or will have. The modern world (especially in North America) has become victims of mass consumerism. The citizens (me included) have all been brought and controlled by ever innovative (and sometimes ridiculous) gadgets and gizmos. Just like the late George Carlin warned us...

Nevertheless, it helps run the economy so I can't argue against that

You say "have become" as though it's something that happened recently. Or in your lifetime. Are you suggesting that consumerism was any less rampant 30 years ago? Or 50 years ago?

After WWII went down the shit took off, and it ain't comin' back, brother.

(...I have no idea what I just said)

I'm pretty sure Karl Marx said something about America being obsessed with consumerism long before George Carlin...

Gadgets are fun to have, though people might think you're a bit crazy talking into your wrist. I actually have a Geiger counter on my watch, though I need that for work.I'm pretty sure Karl Marx said something about America being obsessed with consumerism long before George Carlin...
America wasn't really a consumerist society before the 20th century, and Marx was alive and active during the time when Britain was at the height of its empire and industrial revolution, so if he said anything, it was more likely aimed at them.

Interestingly enough, American industry during the 1800s was pathetic, nothing compared to European capitalism. So I doubt Marx had much of anything to say about America.

So you can home in on your car when parachuting like in Austin Powers 3

Also, LG are soon releasing the Prada 2, which is a watch and phone package, the watch does things like reading messages and tell you when the phones ringing XD
