I have only seen the anime, so I don't even know the story of the manga.

And FMA 2? Is that manga, anime, or both?

That's the new series that will follow the manga more closely than the first anime adaptation.

By the way, Maes Hughes is the man.

That is soo awesome. I watched the anime, but a couple months ago I decided to read the manga, to boredom and interest in knowing the differences. I kind of like the manga better because it is more involved, but it needs to come out more frequently

What about Lieutenant Armstrong, who can punch something hard enough to make his shirt explode?

Roy is awesome. Aside from his alchemy he also has plans involving mini-skirts.

DarthWario, that's Roy. I personally am SUPER excited for FMA Series 2. FMA was my first anime love, and one of the best animes of all time (imo).

I wonder if all the voice actors will return...and who's going to voice Father and all the other unexplored characters from the manga? Plus, now the manga's wrapping up too. Hopefully it will have as good of an ending as the anime? (Not the movie.)

...Dead. True

As for Armstrong, he's cool, but scares me a bit. Mostly because of his shirt popping off a lot, but mainly the sparkles, very strange

I watched all the episodes last year in quick succession, I have to say the storyline is interesting and overall the anime is good, but the voice of his metal headed brother is INCREDIBLY ANNOYING! Not to mention that he is the most anooying character I have ever seen in anime. Hes a main character so you cant get rid of him, he has stupid moral dilemas because of his own stupid stupidity which often would take an entire episode to get around, not only this but quite a few of the episodes were based around killing some random prick which would not be alive had he not been such a stupid gimp and stopped Eric from killing him/her a few episodes prior. Thats not all! But the reasons why he stopped Eric from killing them were so pathetic that he really should have had an entire episode dedicated to him realising just what an idiot he is and then destroying himself at the end. That would have been an episode worth watching!

Armstrong is the coolest, voiced by picollo, coming a close second was maes hughes, voiced by krillin, lol

Well I have only got up to episode 10, but it is already one of my fav Animies, I cannot wait for english market to get its ass in gear for once and start selling series, rather than trying to rip us off once again, by making us buy 3 episodes at a time, costing around 10-15 pounds each (worked out to just get 1 series, would cost at lest 100 pounds, what a joke,

Just thought I'd announce this but....

Full Metal Alchemist Series 2 Fandub (http://voiceactingalliance.com/board/showthread.php?t=40933)

Otaku Dragon Studios will be fandubbing Series 2 as soon as it's released. I personally won't have a very large involvement with it due to my work on ProjectYGO unless I get cast as one of the roles *which is possible but not probable* but we're in the process of pre-casting. We're not doing it on YouTube because the losers are total whiney pricks about it but either way, I hope you guys appreciate ameteur work before the official dub starts releasing.

btw, about the slowness YGO episode 1's release.... that is because our Director, Sakasa Jinei, is working overtime at her job *6 days a week AND extra hours O_o;;* and she was doing the bulk of the mixing for episode one. We've since re-established our scheduling and have recruited additional mixers to help carry the load. We plan to have 6 mixers, 3 on each project to work on multiple portions of the mixing at a time so things should move SIGNIFICANTLY faster than before when it was just Sakasa and I doing everything.

Oh ok. But yeah, most fandubs are pretty decent quality. We put effort into our work. We even have a guy who works for a radio station and creates his own sound effects for us! =D

Yer I have never really looked at FanDubs before, but in my efforts to find FMA, found this one and must say I was impressed, why'll it can never the millions of pounds thrown at it, like when done by proper companies, it was still well done and in many respects I liked it more, because there was a sense that is was done for love of show rather than profit

But all that does is mess with your mind. FMA does a lot of immoral things which I don't like.

Actually there's a lot less death in the manga.... like.... a LOT less. Lust, for one, doesn't take people hostage to convince them to do her bidding and then kill them immediately after. Gluttony isn't constantly eating people either. He uses it as a weapon to annihilate his enemies rather than just an uncontrollable addiction. He'll eat just about anything, but humans aren't the first item on the menu at any given moment. He does find them delicious though. :d

He is so passionate about it, and for awhile he believed it was the way of the world... I do not think his Mom got the chance to teach him life isn't fair.

From what I've read, the last chapter of Full Metal Alchemist will be out in July.

Personally, I've got mixed feelings. On the one hand, I'm sad to see such a great story like this come to a close, especially after all of the time and effort Hiromu Arakawa put into creating such a distinct, and in-depth universe with complex heroes and villains especially as she managed to create individual personalities for each and every one of them.

At the same time, the steady pacing of the manga is what I believe to be one of its greatest strengths. If Arakawa attempted to stretch it out any further than it already has been, I have no doubt the quality would suffer.
