SUPERNATURAL: The Forum Game
Let the battle between Good and Evil begin

How to play
SPN: TFG is a game divided by turns that last 24hours. The GM will begin the round and post the synopsis of each turn at it’s end. The GM decides the roles of players in his or her own fashion.

Each turn, all the players will vote for one player to be exorcised from possession. One fourth of the townies are demons, who also vote via pm to the GM the name of a player to either be killed or become possessed as well. It is the job of the townies to keep themselves from becoming demons, while the demons must try to over-populate the town.

There is a higher power at work, too. Lucifer has been strung from hell, and unless stopped by the Angel Castiel, will take over and kill everything on earth. Both angels have their own powers to try to reveal each other and win the final battle. Townies are required to assist Castiel, while demons must help Lucifer. However, in the game of demons and ghosts, allies quickly become foes. Be careful about who you trust.

Sam and Dean are our protectors. They must not allow Lucifer to take over.

Game ends when either Castiel or Lucifer has been discovered and killed.

So, who shall win the apocalypse? Will it be you?


18-30+ players

Role trade is pointless.

Special Townies:

Dean & Sam: Two brothers who are sent together to destroy demons and ghosts who possess the bodies of townies.
Powers: Sam & Dean must work together(they are revealed to each other). They may chose one person per turn to exorcise. They must pick the same player to be successful. If the player is not possessed, they are saved from possession for one turn. If either player dies, they are revived next turn unless both brothers are killed on the same turn. They can also kill one ghost per round.

Bobby: A hunter who helps aid Sam and Dean in destroying the demons.
Powers: Can exorcise players with a 45% chance of success.

Chuck: Prophet of the Lord
He is immune to demon possession and can escape death from demons once per round by the protection of his archangel. However, Lucifer himself can kill Chuck.
Powers: Chuck can see all the demons except Lucifer in the beginning of the round, and can pm the gm every other turn to see all new possessions with a success rate of 65%.

Townies: Most of the city is made up of townies. They may choose one player to exorcise each turn. If the player is possessed, they are freed of demon possession.

Forces of Good:

Castiel: Angel of the Lord.
Castiel may ask the gm to reveal Dean or Sam and possess them for one turn, using their power of exorcism(action will be revealed during turn end). He can also spy on one demon per every other turn, reading all of his or her pms to the gm (includes Lucifer). Castiel is the only one who can kill Lucifer, if he finds him during the round. He may accuse a demon once per every turn after turn 4. If his accusation is wrong, one townie is possessed at random.
If possessed by demon vote, a new townie will be chosen at random to become Castiel.

Angels: If a townie dies, he or she has a 1/4th chance of becoming an angel. An angel may once per round send in a pm to the gm to kill one demon at random. Lucifer can only be killed if he is chosen by two different angels during the round. Angels can also vote.

Forces of Evil:

Demons: One fourth of the town is made up of demons. They can pm the gm once per a turn the name of one player to become possessed or killed. Majority vote wins. In the case of a tie, gm will break the tie by RNG. Demons also vote alongside townies. During turn 4, all demons can decide to kill off one player, even among themselves(majority vote needed). This only happens once. Demons can kill Lucifer or Castiel this way.

Alastair: Demon Torture Master of Hell
Powers: Can destroy a townie vote every turn. Can also kill one player (except for those who are immune) once per round. If Alastair targets Castiel, any of the angel's actions during that turn are made invalid.

Ghosts: 1/4 of dead townies become ghosts. They can pm the gm every turn the name of one player who cannot be exorcised next vote. They can also once per round kill a townie.

Lucifer: Light/Rebellious Angel
Lucifer must find Castiel and kill him.
Powers: All demons are revealed to him. He can once per every other turn possess a demon and control their power. He can also once per every turn accuse a player of being Castiel after turn 4. If he fails, that player is saved from possession or death for the next turn. Lucifer may also kill one player per round.

Roles are only revealed in death.

Note on possession: 15% of possessions end in failure.

Note on exorcism: When a demon is exorcised, the player becomes a townie. 15% of exorcisms fail.

If Lucifer is exorcised, a townie becomes Lucifer.

Honor Role:

The GM will pick two players per round to be honored for that round.
Any townie or demon who is never possessed or exorcised is also honored.

Prologue:

It was a chilly October morning when Lucifer found his host. A plague of black smoke forced itself into the body of a townie, completely over-powering him. The puppet master than stood before the sleeping body of his wife. She looked so peaceful. Another great mass of smoke came through the windows and went up the mouth of the woman, and than two more into the mouths of the sleeping kids next door. Lucifer looked on as the woman awaken. Her eyes were completely black.

It didn’t take too long until the rising death toll caught the attention of Sam and Dean Winchester. They arrived in town and quickly began their investigation. They spoke to every townie, looking for clues. Sitting in the diner, eating cheese burgers, they wondered if something would finally let up.

Castiel appeared. He had been watching the town too, suspecting. The angel sensed his fallen brother, Lucifer, was near. It was inevitable that their final battle would be decided here; in a small American town, its residents hiding in their houses, praying to God that they would not be next. Too many people had died. People had gone missing. Friends and family had changed…

The apocalypse begins NOW.

There was much to do for Lucifer. For days he watched his human prey, a wolf among sheep…until he stopped one. Omnislash was out again, by himself.

“I think I’ll have him,” laughed Lucifer, “he’d be perfect.”

The black, thick smoke came over from the wind and surrounded Omni, but quickly disappeared. Something went wrong. Omnislash had no idea what had happened. He found his car and drove home. Lucifer cursed to himself and went back home to plot again.


A bunch of townies hid in the local church.

“Father Matthew, there’s a demon among us!”

The grabbed Kudos while the priest made his devil’s trap. Kudos screamed in horror, “I’m not a demon, Omni is! He hangs around at night by himself! He’s suspicious!”

The townies paid her no mind. Father Matthew began reading the old texts. Kudos screamed and her eyes rolled black. Smoke poured out of her mouth and burned itself through the floor back to hell.

Everyone was relieved. Kudos was a townie again.

Kudos was exorcised and became a townie.

Lucifer walked about the streets, stalking Omni.

He decided to kill him. He raised his hands and tried to strike Omni down when a flash of light appeared.

"Shit," thought Lucifer, "he's not who I thought he was!"

So the fallen angel ran off, leaving the poor (and clueless) Omni alone. Instead, he stumbled upon another less protected being.

"Now you shall be mine, little one!"

Blackness surrounded the poor creature and forced its way down the throat, until the smoke had taken its host. When the poor victim's eyes openned, all Lucifer could see was black.

At the church, all the townies decided that it was Zairak who needed exorcism. So Father Matthew tricked him into the devil's trap. The priest tried all his chants on him, but nothing happened. Zairak threw up his sandwich and cried.

"You poor creature," said Father Matthew, "you weren't possessed, you had a belly ache!"

The Father blessed Zairak, saving him for one turn.


Dean went to the local bar and began singing "Eye of the Tiger" on the karaoke machine. It was so amazing, the locals all bought him drinks. He passed out in the bar and Sam had to pick him up Normally he would start bitching his older brother out for being so stupid, but he was too busy watching "Busty Asian Beauties" to care. Whoops.

Omni was working on the Supernatural books when Bobby Singer came inside his house.

"I think we need to talk, Omni."

"About what, Bobby?"

"Well, you've been acting really weird. Talking around by yourself at night, for starters. I think you're a demon."

"What? No! Bobby, I can't believe you'd think that!"

"Just prove me wrong then."

Bobby handed him a flask of holy water, which Omni drank. At first he choked, but it was because the water went down the wrong tube, not because the demon was burning.

"Well damn, you're right. Sorry."



Sam ran into Animex on the way back to his motel, where Dean was sleeping off the night before, which was spend wasting five hundred dollars on the local strip club.

When Animex got home, he noticed his house had been broken into. He grabbed a piece of iron, hoping to protect himself from the demons who got into the house; he found traces of sulfur around the window panes.

But it was too late. The demon Lilith appeared. No one saw Animex, also known as Bobby Singer, again.



At the church, everyone was quite dead set on exorcising Rena.

"Stop!" yelled Omni, "I know the truth! Chaos is a demon!"

"Alright!" yelled the townies.

They tied him up under the devil's trap and Father Matthew proformed the exorcism. Surprisingly, Chaos was possessed with the ancient torture demon of hell, Alastair.

His eyes turned white and he threatened the townies with violence; "I'll cut your belly open and play "coachman, spare your horses! when I met you all in hell! Especially you, Father Matthew! I'll cut your kidneys out and feed it back to you!"

Everyone was terrified.

Suddently the chant took effect and a gush of black rushed out of Chaos' mouth, escaping back into the black sky of the night.

Bobby tried to exorcise Omni, who was't possessed
Sam failed to exorcise Animex without Dean
Animex/Bobby was slaughtered by the demon vote
The townies exorcised ChaosVincent, also known as Alastair

Lucifer went into the home of Masty and watched him for several days until he finally caught him unawares in the kitchen with a boning knife.

A silly townie was out enjoying the midnight air when he was possessed.

The town was all in an uproar. They wanted to save Basketcat, a sinner who read more yaoi than she did the bible.

But when they forced her into the devil's trap, the angry Bakura lover broke out of her binds and ran out of the trap. She wasn't possessed. So in apology, the priest blessed her.

Okay, to get this ball rolling:

I'd like to make more specialized demons so they aren't like goons in Mafia. The gm can decide reach round if he wants to use them or not.

I think Chuck should be saved from death only once and then he can die. Possession should still be impossible. Also, Chuck can only look at how many demons exist in the game twice per round.

Castiel can pm the gm once per turn to see an unopenned pm instead of choosing the player.

I think Dean and Sam are fine and so is Bobby.

I agree that Chuck needs work. I love the idea of him being able to see the demons because he is the "prophet" but that should be limited somehow. Perhaps to only seeing the starting demons and having a % for seeing the new possessions. Also, I feel he should not be able to see Lucifer for it gives the team of good a bit of an advantage cause they can then determine which of the starting demons to try and get Castiel target.

As for his Death/Possession immunity, that needs work. I don't think he should be possess-able, but I think he should be able to die for he is mortal.

Castiel: Angel of the Lord.
Castiel may ask the gm to reveal Dean or Sam and possess them for one turn, using their power of exorcism(Sam and Dean cannot reveal his identity to anyone). He can also trace one demon per turn, reading all of his or her pms to the gm (includes Lucifer). All demons are revealed as just demons; Lucifer is not revealed in name. Castiel is the only one who can kill Lucifer, if he finds him during the round. He may accuse a demon once per every turn after turn 4. If his accusation is wrong, one townie is possessed at random.
Immune to demon possession or death(except by Lucifer).

Tracing...that's a bit iffy. Perhaps only a given player once?
I'd say demons can be revealed to Castiel but take whichever one is Lucifer off the list just like Chuck so it makes it a bit harder for the Castiel/Lucifer victory.

Accusation and recoil for doing so seems fine. Though should accuse any player instead of demons cause Lucifer is not known.

What say everyone else? Also unless Chuck seems fixed, input there would be good too since it was only really my input.

I also want to change the penalties for making mistakes.
If Castiel fails an accusation, one townie becomes possessed.
If Lucifer fails an accusation, one demon becomes exorcised by God(gm).

I think Castiel's power relies on getting help from Chuck and the Winchester brothers.

The rules for ending the game should be different too. Just have it if Castiel finds Lucifer, good wins and visa versa instead of the Mafia "whichever group takes over". I don't think it's possible for any one group to fully take over.
