You know the drill.
Post a riddle and have other users solve it! Pretty simple, right?

Panikkay

A man is dead. There are gold coins all over the floor, and the window is open, letting in rays. Why is he dead?

grimfang999
02-16-2010, 03:47 PM
someone came in and shot him, then escaped through the window

It was probably the same person who killed that guy with the bikes

Panikkay
02-16-2010, 03:48 PM
Nope.

On the topic of bikes, what kind of bikes were they?

Fenrir502

A man is dead. There are gold coins all over the floor, and the window is open, letting in rays. Why is he dead?

He was a tresure hunter. He is in a ship out at sea, but a porthole or something is busted and letting in water, causing him to drown. The coins are from a treasure chest, ad the rays are sting-rays or manta-rays or something.

Panikkay
02-16-2010, 04:11 PM
Correct.
(Though with the version I was using, he was a scuba diver, found a sunk ship, went inside, and ran out of air.)

EDIT: Here's another:

Two children are born. They look the same, born in the same year and place, from the same mom and dad, but are not twins. How is this possible?

grimfang999
02-16-2010, 04:36 PM
by twins do you mean identical or twins in general?

Panikkay
02-16-2010, 04:38 PM
Twins in general.

grimfang999
02-16-2010, 04:52 PM
then I would assume they would be by product of artificial insemination. Either that or we are talking about animals, which give birth to multiple kids at a time.

If i take the context of the question "born in the same year", I coudl say the first was born in January and the mother got pregent again straight away lol

musigal
02-16-2010, 05:09 PM
Nope.

On the topic of bikes, what kind of bikes were they?

I never said they were bikes, I said they were bicycles. >.>

Panikkay
02-16-2010, 05:40 PM
Are the bicycles the card brand?

Edit: They were born on the same day, they're human and it's not from artificial insemination.

musigal
02-16-2010, 05:42 PM
mehbeh...

Panikkay
02-16-2010, 05:44 PM
Here's my guess, then...

Two men were playing cards and the stakes were rather high, one man cheated, using an extra card, was caught, then killed?

musigal
02-16-2010, 05:47 PM
yes! *gives cookie*

We're English, I'm under the impression it's an American brand.
I request that all further things be internationally recognisable.

musigal
02-16-2010, 06:08 PM
there are 52 playing cards in a deck. Bicycle is a brand of playing cards. The green field is the card table (with the green felt top, like in a casino) since there were 53 bicycles (i.e. one too many cards) the person playing against the guy who had cheated with the extra card figured out that he had cheated and shot him.

edit @ insane: I'm pretty sure they sell them in England too.

the two children are part of a triplet, or quadruplet or similar.

Could someone give me a Yugioh riddle? Where the answer is the Shadow Realm or World Domination? (I can't seem to make one up. and I need it for my fanfiction. It's a line Bakura will say.) But you can't mention it being the shadow realm and it has to be really hard. PLEASE.

Here's a riddle for you:

In the morning I'm all fours, in the afternoon I am on 2 legs and in the evening I'm on 3. What am I?

A human, it's the riddle of the sphinx.
Morning= birth, a child crawling (all fours)
Afternoon= Adulthood (walking on 2 legs)
Evening= Old age (2 legs + walking stick = 3!)
