The story started off good, only now the characters who once had importance somehow lost it with the sole exception of Yusei.

Aki has been reduced to a fanservice role and attempting to get Yusei to jump her. What next? She invites Yusei over so she can cook for him?

The twins have also faded into the background.

Crow and Jack still duel, but they have to lose to set Yusei up for a dramatic finish.

Bruno just exists as comic relief with a motivating alter ego.

Sherry has been banished from the plot altogether by her decision to find out exactly what happened to her parents.

I believe I said that Crow was still allowed to duel, but he has to lose somewhere along the line to set up the drama Yusei's big win. Besides, my main point was that Yusei has suddenly become the only one capable of finishing the matchups.

Aki is only good for occasional substitutions, but she left her dueling skills back in Season 1 and has since lost her psychic powers. I was bringing up the fanservice point because that's pretty much all Aki still has going for her anymore. She just has to wait around in her skin-tight jumpsuit and make sure she has her cleavage in every shot.

It's nice to see that someone's made a thread supporting Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds for a change. =)
The only real complaint I have about the show is that it was taken under the malevolent wing of 4Kids. It wasn't until Episode 13 that I was truly disappointed with the dub; 4Kids Americanizes everything way too much and they mess up a lot more than that.

I've liked Yusei since the beginning and he will always be my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds character.

I've watched up to about episode 24 subbed, but read up on all the others up to the most recent one. I have also at varying points watched small parts of DM and GX, and...

Yusei is the coolest protagonist. Yami Yugi (in my mind) doesn't really count, so in that case it's a choice between Yugi, Jaden, Yusei, and the shrimp from Zexal.

And from the synopses of those series, 5D's has the most coherent plot once it gets going. It's a little strange, but at least it doesn't sink to the levels of Atlantis, or Shadow Riders.

Good to see someone supporting this series, rather than bashing it over one element of it.

That card name is so obnoxiously long. Unfortanatley, it is almost impossible to watch subbed 5D's episodes on the internet. Believe me, I've tried. They delete the episodes on Youtube, making everything so complicated. The only way to watch a subbed episode of 5D's is if you settle for the later on episodes(like episode 90 and up) but if you want to watch the dub I can give you a link.

Speaking of the anime, what if there were "negative" replicas of the Signers, and they used decks that could counter the Signers' decks? I.e., an evil Akiza that used pyro and FIRE monsters, and an evil Jack Atlas that uses LIGHT and fairy monsters. (Basically counterparts for the "positive" Signers.) I know a cartoon that had this idea, but I'm wondering if this could be a good set-up for a new saga.

No, 5D's isn't finished, but it is going to end with an hour long special on March 30th.

I wasn't sure I was going to like 5Ds initially, but I was sure proven wrong.

The first episodes I saw were from the Crash Town arc, which inspired countless inside jokes amongst me and my friends, as well as a love for Team Satisfaction.
I watched a few of the first episodes dubbed and subbed, and read character summaries, and decided it'd be a good series to watch after I had finished the other two.

I have to say I'm really excited to actually sit down and watch it after I'm done GX.
I see it on TV occasionally and watch it, and it's really coo'~

Personally, I was very pleased with the ending and 5D's is now easily my favorite

I don't recall any supporting characters being left out. If you're talking about Yusei's old friends from Season 1, they made a cameo at the end of Season 2. I'm actually kind of glad they didn't stick around throughout the show; the last things this show needed was another Tea and Tristan (characters who serve no purpose to the plot whatsoever). Still, it was nice to see them at the end.

Yeah his old friends don't have a reason to be there anymore. They annoyed me, but I feel bad for them because now Yusei doesn't really talk to them anymore and their world revolved around Yusei.

The guy has a lot of voice acting under his belt and he's practically a legend.
Other noteworthy villain voice roles of his include Steele from Balto and Robotnik from Sonic SatAM.
Needless to say he puts on an amazing villain voice and he'd be perfect for Aporia.

I'm kinda amazed that all the Kalin/Kiryu fanart depicts him pre-season 1 and as a Dark Signer but there is little to no art of his Crash Town self, in which he reached his peak of awesomeness. XD

My all-time favorite duel spans episodes 141-143; it's the three-on-one duel of Jack, Leo (Lua), and Luna (Luka) versus Aporia. It's my favorite because of the intensity of the duel and because of Leo's selflessness.

Season 3 onwards isn't as good as Seasons 1-2, but it's still pretty good. Just more focus on Yusei and his haxx-drawing. Still, there are some neat duels, and the fun episodes, cup ramen, gold motorcycles and shrimpmobiles all make it worth watching :D

Has anyone wanted to to a Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's abridged series with the voice actors from the Bonds Beyond Time abridged and that 5D's one shot parody? I know there have been attempts at a 5D's abridged series but they aren't very funny, very well done or have been taken down from YouTube by the copyright sensors for some copyright violations. I could write the script and lend my voice to one or some minor characters.
