How can something so cute and innocent inspire such anger and hatred?

Why would the creators unleash such evil into the world?

This moster of a series plunged my heart into unending darkness, without giving me time to flinch.

I thought it was a different take on a magical girl series. I mean you expect magical girl anime to be all cheerful and stuff, but with Madoka Magica, it's almost makes you feel like you underestimated its expectations. I actually love this anime. It's got angst, but it also has its sweet moments, like the friendship between Madoka and Homura. Although if I ever see Kyubey, and if he asks me to a contract, I think I'd rather just wait around for Luna the cat from Sailor Moon.
