I was suppose to write a one shot for V-day. I guess I'll do that now.

Depends - it could help you explore your boundaries more. I certainly wouldn't put it past myself to practice with it, but again, whatever makes you comfortable as a writer to practice with. And again, avoid absolutes like "It's not good practice" - just say that you think it wouldn't work out for you personally. There's nothing wrong with that.

I want to write novels one day, so... It's not good practice for that sort of thing.
