She probably likes it because it's popular. I mean, I like it for the fanart, but it's far from my OTP and I roleplayed it for two years...

Yeah, I think she should too. I don't think Kaiba's a healthy pairing with Jonouchi at all, since he really doesn't respect him as a human being that much. Their relationship just comes off as slightly emotionally abusive, and she apparently likes Kaiba to be on the receiving end of it all. It bothers me because the poor guy's been through enough. :<

I know it sounded very moneyshippnig. Before fanfics, I did rp and for some fun crackness, I had my Kaiba selfcest with another one before he got into a serious relationship with a Joey (who became my long term 2yr rp partner).

And I'm pretty sure Manga Kaiba said that. He's not the Kaiba that I like/write with in mind. We like two very different characters in a way.

Do whatever makes you happy, I guess. It really doesn't matter to me, because what you chose to write, I don't find too interesting.

And I used to write him in bdsm situations. It wasn't vanilla sex, and he wasn't always the most dominate partner in every situation, but these weren't random hook ups either. That's what bugs me the most about these fanfictions, is the smut that's so off the wall character wise, I can't even take it seriously. I don't think Kaiba's some sex god, or even dominate 50%. But I don't see him as a guy who'd enjoy being penetrated, and I could see him being with a guy who "topped from the bottom".

Kaiba just comes off as too up tight for that sort of thing, and he wouldn't be able to enjoy it if he couldn't relax.

I just don't think core parts of your being go out the window in those situations. Someone with trust issues especially isn't going to just forget those things and let their partner just use their body without exercising control (or unless they've been together for a long ass time).

The only reason why I say Atem in that situation, is because Kaiba does see him as his better/equal.

Honestly, the only person I could /ever/ see him doing that with would be Atem. That's it.

I don't see personalities and sex as being separate spheres at all. The two are very related to each other.

But to each his own. It's just something I'll never read, because I just can't respect it at all.
