- I'm AnimA. I mean well and have great ideas, but I don't always follow through. It's hard when you have priorities keeping you from doing something you love...
Despite that statement's tone, I am indeed an optimist. I love taking the time to appreciate all the things we take for granted: air, water, healthy and fully functional bodies, family, friends, and food to name a few. Everyone here has it better than someone else in the world, I simply remind myself not to let the small inconveniences frustrate me, but let the under appreciated things I do have excite me.
I also am very realistic at the same time. I don't take sides, I take information. When it comes to deeper conversations, I like to bring something out of the box into perspective. There's always a different view, dark and light, negative and positive, then that gray area in between as well as that blue spot no one quite noticed. What ever may be the case though, you make a choice to focus on the negative or the positive (or the indifferent). I have made the choice to look at my glass as something I can fill to the brim, empty, and fill up again.
I never sit on my ass for long at all or else I'll (and it'll) fall asleep. I move nonstop so only momentum keeps me going these days. I have more talents, hobbies and interests than I know what to do with so I'm often forced to choose: making music, graphic design, photography, video editing (I wish...), playing video games, reading, drawing, watching anime, Brawl, tennis, writing, playing piano, guitar, martial arts, watching vids online, bowling, going out with friends, dueling (yes I actually duel in tourneys and everything), Running the AV club at my school as President, blogging here, making video games(?), fishing, lucid dreaming etc. When it come to hobbies, I live by a quote from the Achiever's program for outstanding young African Americans when it comes to doing things: Boredom is laziness of the mind. So I don't get bored, I just digress...
Meanwhile, life nags at my free time. I'm in college: DeVry Univeristy, and I live on campus, I just recently Got a job under Vector, selling Cutco Cutlery primarily to get the money to get out of housing and share an apartment with friends. My ultimate goal in life is to make a living selling Nikken products (look them up) and leading a healthy life with a family and kids while I create music for video games as a career. Right now is the time I must work my butt off to make that vision come true. Sacrifices are made, but I will work hard now so I don't have to for the rest of my life.
Most recently I adopted another great mindset (i live by so many): I do the things that people won't do so that I can more easily do the things that people can't do. I'll let that value become another part of who I am ;)
If you ever meet me in person, call me AnimA (online friends), but know that you may either hear me go by James (friends), L J (family), or Doc (workforce). I'm pretty easy to get along with, have been told I'm well spoken, and I tend to make people laugh, even when I'm not trying to be funny. I'm VERY competitive, but I strive to be a better sport, I think that I have improved that over the years. Bit of a perfectionist, slightly (germaphobic?) and I tend to think alot and appear distant. I'm very tolerant, and I try to have the patience that my dad has run out of in life.
I like a person with ambition. I try to surround myself with people who move forward so that I motivate myself to do the same. Sometimes though I tend to leave things behind weather temp or permanently because I do more than the week allows. Honesty is all I really ask of people, for if I can't trust you, I can't interact with you. For the record, I like girls with charisma and a sense of humor more than anything else, but I also like maturity in girls at the same time. Those will get me to open my heavily guarded heart for a start, but trust me, I don't like being hurt so honesty is the best policy.
Lastly, I just want to mention that I made this when I sought out to do some homework, then decided to download two songs I really wanted, then remembered that I hadn't visited this site in a while after stopping a new ocremix I was listening to in order to watch my YT sub vids, saw that LK's newest ep was up, stopped myself from watching to respond to all the bday comments I got where I dropped a couple posts to Saj, before accidently opening this and deciding to change everything as needed, resulting in me not accomplishing any of my original goals except getting the music.
