I have nothing to say about Jaden. He's just there. As I said, his abridged rap skills are awesome. He's just too nice and happy for my taste.

As I understand it, GX gets a lot darker and Jaden gets a lot less happy in the later seasons. I never watched past the first season because of the incessant cheer and the fact that it felt like they were just capitalizing on the success of the Harry Potter boarding-school set-up, but can someone who's actually watched GX tell me how true this is? Does GX get better, and does Jaden actually grow up a bit?

...I was slow. Sorry about that. I don't know if Jaden grows more serious or not, but I do remember clips of his friend Syrus making the Obelisk Blues and he was carting his big brother about in a wheelchair and it was kind of sad and touching. I was genuinely surprised.

Well, I don't wanna spoil anything but Jaden does grow up quite a bit. Especially in the 4th season (which 4kids never dubbed). After the Yubel incident in season 3 where Jaden's friends were put in harms way several times, and with the whole Supreme King bit, Jaden... Well, learns to take more (how do you say it?) responsibility in his hands so to speak. Anyway, in the 4th season he becomes more serious both about life and dueling and he talks to his friends less with the exception of Jesse Anderson. As some fangirls put it, he becomes a "Hot emo douch".

So, to sum it up... Yes, GX DOES get better (atleast, in my opinion).

Well, I'm a Kaiba fan, so "hot emo douch"-heroes are pretty much right up my alley. Maybe I'll try watching GX again when I have the time. Thanks!

Yes, in season 0 he was a huge evil jerk while from season 1 through 5 he was just cold and wanted to be the best.

Back to topic, I didn't watch GX but I think I will give it a try. Right now Yusei and Yugi are my favourite main characters but maybe Jaden can convince me...

By inserting money into the Rule Book at regular intervals! XD
