Some users have been experiencing problems connecting to the IRC server using the Java chat on the site.

This may be due to the recent server upgrade.

If you send me an e-mail, please provide to me as much information about your internet connection as possible, i believe this is a localised DNS caching issue.


In the meantime i reccomend you download a client such as mIRC or XChat and point that client to thelema.arg-irc.net.

Hey, Magick, for some reason, when I try to log on to the chatroom through mIRC, it says...

Why is that? I have never seen it say "Connection refused" before. I keep trying, and it keeps saying the same thing...

When I go to the IRC, it says it was blocked by Zone Alarm, when I have the Chat Rooms/Instant Messaging section unblocked! What the heck is going on?!?

Okay, now I'm getting the following message when I go to IRC chat and type in the new server command:

Help?!?

I clicked the link, and it says:

Not Found
The requested URL /forum/1/2394/1/arg-irc.net.org/webirc/irc.cgi was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I am having a little trouble with mIRC. I just joined today.

I was wondering what the updated details where for IRC chat client. They are no longer on the website and I have installed the client on a different PC and do not have access to the one with the client on it at the moment to het the updated details.

Okay...I downloaded the think from the website but I don't know how to use the chat thing...Hmmmp...

What should I do?

This is the first time i have tried to use chat in a while and before you say its because of the new server, let it be known I am using a diferent computer I nvr used for this before. So yeah I am at a loss of why the site chat wont work for me...

it means your either using a procy or you have a bad ip that's associated with spyware

I have had gotten on to chat before and other time i dont get on, and i am using the same internet ip... did i do something to anger the chat gods or what? :(

Sometimes the Site's chat thing doesn't work for a minority of people... if you're having problems getting onto it, go to www.mibbit.com/chat

the Server is Arg-IRC
the Channel is #ygotas
your Nick is whatever you want to be called...

or alternatively download yourself an IRC client like mIRC or something...

I just sign on the chat it comes up with noone on and about 5 secs later turns black cuz I havent been on the web site for a good few months now (shortly after hvy ddr was banned) I come back to the web site cuz ive been busy with collage and thought the site screwed up my computer but it did'ent so im fine even though I was sh!ting my self at the time cuz it was a new laptop.

Hey, I really want to join this one clan, but I need IRC to be able to "participate" in it...and Ive tried downloading the IRC programs, but apparently, they dont work.

Does anybody know of a way to use IRC on a macintosh? Please let it be yes ;p

I banned by edbat in the chat for no adequately explained reason. My name was Kwenspi. Since I know you usually are in the chat is it possible you could ask Edbat to unban me please? Every time I sign in it says I am banned. I wasn't rude or anyting. IS there a way around it at all?
