GENERAL SITE RULES - Last Updated July 26, 2010

1) Only one account per person is permitted.

2) Admins create rules and policy, Moderators enforce the rules and policies created by Admins. At times, some discretion is permitted to moderators enforcing site rules.

3) Do not argue with forum staff after they have performed an administrative action of some kind. If you feel that an action was or wasn't taken unjustly you may send a respectful PM to an Admin or the appropriate moderator to discuss the issue. Do not create posts or public discussions to rant about Admins, Moderators, or decisions.

4) Be respectful of other members. Joking and teasing a little towards users now and then is fine, but you cannot take it too far. Outright trolling, inflammatory, or overly offensive content is not allowed. This would include, but not limited to, making it your personal vendetta to take someone down for their religion, race, sexual orientation, gaming console preference, or like of Inuyasha. Admins and Moderators may have some discretion in determining what is being taken too far and what is permissible on a case-by-case basis.

5) Make sure that your post is relevant to the forum which you are posting it in. Example: You shouldn't be starting a forum game outside of the Forum Games forum.

6) Do not post in unsticked threads that have not been used in over 3 months, unless there is a current, relevant reason to do so. (Example: It's okay to post something relevant in thread for an upcoming convention even if that thread hasn't been used in a while.)

7) For the moment Youtube videos may be embedded into posts, but it is NOT permitted to set them to autoplay or to embed excessively.

8) Trolling, Advertising, and Spamming content is not permitted on these forums.

9) You may not post illegal content.

10) Threads dedicated to mature images may only be posted in the appropriate mature areas of the site. No images considered 18+ may be posted outside the age restricted 18+ forum

11) You may not impersonate a mod or admin. Usernames similar to an existing mod or admin may be changed.

12) You may not use an account that you did not register yourself, except when granted use of a pre-existing account by an admin or lead moderator for specific purposes.

13) Additional rules may apply to certain forums or areas of this site. You are responsible for checking stickied posts and announcements in individual forums for any additional rules that apply in that forum.

14) Underling may, or may not be free to screw the rules.

15) You may not 'Rick Roll' or link to sites which contain scripts that make the browser window difficult to close, or function abnormally.

16) Do not ever hotlink images from a chan site.

IRC

The IRC Chat room that we link to is a part of the ARG-IRC network. You are responsible for reading and following the rules of the ARG-IRC network and any additional rules of individual chat rooms on that network. Rule violations on the IRC chat room may have repercussions for you on this site, and vice versa.

Face, I have an Idea. How about if you ever see, or if a moderator sees a video autoplaying, the person will receive a two-day temp. ban?

Yes, there's a difference between friendly teasing and berating someone for something to the point of harassment.

I Think The Reules Are Fair But Dont You Think Only If They Post Inaproprite Stuff They Should Be Banned Fore-Ever, But The Others They Should Have Like A 2-Day Ban Or Somthing? But If The Keep Doing It They Should Be Banned For Life. Don't You Think Thats A Good Idea? Think About It. :squintyface:

I have a question... is there a rule against making personal threads, like threads that are created for the sole purpose of introducing yourself or announcing your departure or talking about how your dog is really sick? I'm just curious because I thought we had that rule/other forums have a rule like it. Thanks much. ^^

there is and most get removed, however because of lack of Mods (yes I'm still lobbying for more mods and No I don't want to be one) and because of Krozes way of ruling, some which make poeple lolz are kept around

yeah there is a certain user on the site, a newbie who continues to post youtube threads and its really irksome, i mean even posting the link is rather annoying, if we want to watch something we can look it up on our own unless its a link to an episode of YGOTAS

and as for rule 8, i think the mods have been excellent in removing the unwanted trolls and harassers of the site

No, don't loop them, that gets annoying.

Yes, but even moderators aren't always making the just desisions, I of course am not refering to anyone, but I think for this reason alone that we should have the mods consider and consult each other before they make some harsh ban, say a month, or life.
Or we could just have a muk of jungle that we call this forum.
either way seems to work for everyone... oh yes! dont re-word things or forget to mention an occasional harsh response that the mods may have done. I've seen so much injustice, in all honestly, I only care if its me on the line.

This forum has very reasonable mods. Besides the joke bans, only a handful of regular posters here have gotten the boot since the forum went live.

So if you get banned, it's your problem, not the mod's.

I tend to review bans every now and then and I make an adjustment if I notice something that needs one.

I think rules and mods (who are active) are more than fine here, I just still feel could do with few more active mods, I mean Face has started to become more of similar face again (sorry couldn't resist) and JR/Dark are great, but eternity doesn't have enough power o0 and rest on come on about once mouth at most (even masty is rare catch these days)

You're recommending that eternity should have more power?

I think he's saying that although eternity is around, he can't always do what needs to be done at a given point in time, rather than actually suggesting he have more power.

I suppose in my uneducated and ill informed opinion, I feel that there are several Congenial and amiable users who would be Marvelous Mods, but never had an Appropriate chance to prove it, because ether they don't really use things such as bar enough to gain an eminent reputation and/or they joined after first few months and so never became friendly with this site's Higharky.
=Of course I must stress I'm not actually saying that I know who would make better mods for this site, than the poeple making such decisions at this time, merely putting forward my small and probably unwanted opinion, that I feel there are several poeple who maybe could be given a little more notoriety and status on this site to relieve several stress's from those in these positions already. As well, they may have more repor with some of the new class of main users, as sadly apart from noted few, many of the existing organization lack this because of there own levels of dynamic activeness (or lack of it would be more correct to say par-say .)

Anyway, that is all I will say, on my unneeded opinion on this situation as I see it from a position born of mass liberal media and a known supporter of Kroze, which makes all my opinions on anything null-invoid and redundant.

I am still a tad urked about my two day ban months ago over posting Man-Faye in the Favorite/Awesome picture thread, when it had been made against the rules recently (I had not seen the post at that time) and the fact that part of my ban was due to the fact that i didn't state that it was NSFW when at the time I had no idea what that even meant. -sigh- but that was awhile ago I can't really do anything about it but bitch and moan, though I don't think that's what I'm doing in this case, I'm just stating that it urkes me to know that I have a temp-ban on my record for something that is in my eyes was unnecessary, I know I would have taken it so much better if I had been given fair warning and then got a temp ban if I did it again, I still feel that the mod who gave me that temp-ban jumped the gun but...for the life of me I can not remember who actually gave the temp-ban...

I'm gonna shut up now, I've rambled about the past long enough, as well as forgetting the point of even bringing it up...

CAN ANY OF YOU SHIFT THROUGH ALL THAT AND FIND MY POINT!!!
