Poetry time
So as it says in the title, Who here likes poetry time?
More importantly, Who here would like to share their work? I am quite interested in the topic myself and would like to see if other members of the forum are involved in it (Also, I might post some of my poems up later but I lack my poetry copy now and it is too late to get it) |

I love poetry, and have quite a few pieces, but what if the internet steals them? D:

I write some, but since last time I asked someone to critique a piece they didn't even RESPOND, I do not share anymore. Horribly scarring. ;-; |

two I just spat out yesterday
we talk, always talk always think, always look many days I search for roots buried deep in the rich soil I cry to the sun I cry to the moon begging them for worms if only the earth would be kind for me then perhaps it would be my tur beautiful roots, fill my plate beautiful worms come this date how can I see them when I am so blind blind as one can be?! oh I shout to you the great pillars of ice I stand here forty years to wait hello up there mighty spring do not come down too late here I sit waiting for the one the man to open this door until he comes I am alone sitting on the floor. |

I wrote this poem for my grandfather's furneral, I called it Lily Petals
Lily Petals Lily Petals as bright and white They were the ones you loved alright They showed your kindness and true feelings You loved their colour and said 'They were amazing' I never dreamed I'd be picking them out From the flowerist The very ones you admired To be placed in your resting place Now that your gone You left us here and went on I knew that it was time to say good bye But I was so stubborn that I cried I wasn't well on the day you were gone So I couldn't have come I wanted to go and see you right away But with my cold I was forced to stay When I heard the news that you went on I felt nothing really and fell silent all night long I wanted to cry But I couldn't find my tears dripping down my face Was it shock? Or was it because of grace? I don't really understand But I guess that I was aways like that Even when I was small You held my hand on some occassions You looked after me when My parents were away My Brother looked up to you as the greatest man of all Calm and gentle Wise and knowing Quite and Listened So I'll take these Lilies And place a loving white petal So white and so beautiful So soft and wonderful By your side And will always remember That you were alive I'll miss you Grandfather... |

Acrostic - Blood
Burgundy pools Glistening in the sanguine glow, Florid and glaring in this light, A rosy imitation, A ruddy copy of What blossoms rubicund on the floor: Rouge lying in ripples, Wine droplets spreading In crimson congealance to Claret puddles Priceless beyond rubies, Amorphous flood of scarlet, A blushing pond Continuously oozing ferrous Blankets of red. |
