Maybe I overlooked the topic, but I was surprised to not find a Guitar Hero topic around here, so here it is. I hope this game is awesome, and that Neversoft will do a good job with the game (being the new developer and all). Soundtrack seems awesome so far, Slow Ride, Cliffs of Dover, Through the Fire and Flames (check out this song on youtube if you haven't already and prepare to have your mind blown if you can't pass hard songs), School's out, One, Welcome to the Jungle, and more awesomeness. Boss battles (at first I was like WTF? but now I see it won't be so bad). And battle mode, with various power-ups to use against your opponents. Discuss the latest game that involves a guitar made out of plastic here. Just 12 days more, W00t!

Dragonforce: Through the Fire and Flames is gonna be insane........
........then again compared to Fury of the Storm that song's nothing........ ......which makes me both happy and sad that it's not in there.......

i tried playing dragon force through fire and flames on a custom version of guitar hero i made and tore the muscle in my left thumb i still can play and GH3 is out soon in the UK also rock band is now coming out for PS2 im gunna get both gamers they are both kick ass

Played the final product (PS3 version) at a friends house the other day after he got it here in the states. The game is really a lot like Pokemon; the core game play hasn't changed since it's first incarnation but for some reason I'm still addicted to it. The new Jean Paul guitar is pretty nice looking too.

So I got it yesterday and I've been pretty hooked. Damn good soundtrack. First person at the store to get it, too. The guy in front of me didn't even pre-order his copy. xD I love driving myself to get games. :3

Now I think I've played about 30-35 hours of this game and as far as I can tell, that's the most I've ever played any game in 1 1/2 weeks. Beat the game on hard, and 28 songs into Expert, Black Sunshine is killing me, though.
Also, who thinks that Raining Blood is the hardest song in the main game (since TTFAF is a bonus song)? Took me about 20 tries to beat on hard. Curse that song, it's not even that good to listen to.

Yeah Raining Blood is the hardest song in career. I still fail that song on expert sometimes and I
beat TtFaFF. It's not even a song, its just noise. Raining Blood, Cliffs of Dover, and The Number of the Beast are the only ones I can't 5* in the main setlist on expert. <img src='/images/emoticons/smiley5.png'>

Agreed 100% about Raining Blood. Now it's the last song on Expert I can't do. I got through Mosh 1 one time (and only one time) after 5-6 hours of straight practice, then I got past the hardest part of the song in flashing red, and I miss a simple blue hold note. It looked a little like this...

I've been playing it for a while, now, and I'm only on medium now... Hooray for me!
But I've FC'ed almost every song in my career (on easy). The one exception to that is, of course, Raining Blood. I FC'ed it twice, though... in practice. The two bonus songs I haven't FC'ed yet on easy would be Through the Fire and Flames and Don't Hold Back. I'm still working on just five-staring all the songs on medium. But, like all the other nerds, I am so addicted. I love playing as Midori. What about you guys?

I had a dream the other night that the orange button stopped working... so my brothers took apart the guitar, to find that the orange button was labelled incorrectly by the manufacterers... "S" instead of "E"...

Oh, I did finally get 100 percent on Raining Blood... on easy... but that stupid song is really hard...
The funny thing is that I went to attempt 100% on Through the Fire and Flames on easy... This was about 11:00 PM. I was tired - almost out of it - and my fingers were sore from playing Guitar Hero for almost an hour straight. And my eyes hurt from staring at the stupid TV for that long. I did it on my sixth try. Maybe I should only play GH when I'm out of it... But it's the end of my GH-playing days for a while. >> I hurt my leg, and unfortunately I can't sit in my normal playing position without pain...

I got 100% on every song on easy a long time ago (and yes, that includes Dragonforce). I'm currently working on FCing every song on Medium, although I'm more than halfway done.
Normally, I play Expert mode, actually. But I'm having trouble with a few songs. Those are: Raining Blood, One, Take This Life, and Through the Fire and Flames. Other than those four, I can complete all the others. I've even been lucky enough to FC a few, such as Lay Down, Bulls On Parade, Sabatoge, Closer, and Metal Heavy Lady. There are better people out there, though. One guy in my school (well, he used to be, he graduated) could play Through the Fire and Flames on Expert and get five stars! It was crazy.

I'm half way through tier 7 on expert, stuck on "before i forget" and "Knights of Cydonia" (Galloping triplets? WTF).
This game has hardly left my machine, apart from mario kart (and smash bros of course. Can't wait!), so i think they've formed a symbiotic relationship. Only the purchase of a PS3 stopped me playing it, and now i only play Uncharted, probably my 2nd favourite gane in the world.

Yeah, Macharius, those songs took me a while to get past, too. Try saving your star power until you get to the part where you usually loose. I do that with some of the hard songs like those, and it helps.

I can do all of "Before i forget" until the ludicrous chords after the bridge, and as my previous post mentioned, i become unglued during the galloping triplets on "Knights of Cydonia".
DWDTG on hard is one of the hardest things i've ever tried to do on a game console, and i'm serious. As i'm fairly appalling at hammer-ons, not as good as pull-offs anyway, some of the solos are just ridiculous. I don't eben want to think about it on expert...

Well I was house sitting for my auntie today and finally got a shot at this on my cousins Wii and it is pretty damn fun. The first tries are a bit awkward but once after a few songs it's great fun.
I'm considering looking for one of the older ones on Ebay or somewhere for the 360 since they'll probably be a bit cheaper.

I wish they would come out with the first two Guitar Heros on the Wii... I don't have a 360 or a PS2 (let alone a 3). I might get GH4 and Rock Band for it later, though, and I'm still condidering Guitar Hero on the DS.
Also: I almost Full Combo'd Avalance yesterday on Expert. I missed a note durring the solo at the end... <img src='/images/emoticons/smiley4.png'>
