Pierre sells the Worn Eye-Patch to Snaggly Bottom. It slightly raises your defense, but lowers your depth perception.
Buttercup gives the house a good looking over. You find some books on curses and monsters the grandfather no doubt purchased after his grandson had developed his affliction. Nothing in or around the house gives you any spooky vibes. There is a church in the city. Also, you will revive there if you die.

Blorgo makes his way to the church. He greets the priest inside with the customary secret holy handshake that identifies him as an official follower of the church. "Welcome brother, what may I do for you?"
You explain the curse to the priest and ask if there is anything he knows that might help. "I may have some idea, but Sister Alma would know better. She's the expert on curse removal around here. Unfortunately, she is helping with burial rites in the next town over. I heard her mention a mushroom in Duggas Forest that is supposed to help with curse magic, but I couldn't say what it looks like." Choice Time >Find Sister Alma and ask for help with the curse (3 periods) >Look for the mushroom yourself and hope you get the right one (1 period) Spangle Bottom starts plotting nefarious acts with Pierre. Pierre struggles to comprehend anything more complex than a smash and grab so he just politely nods and plays along.

Boggle and Willibard set out on a quest to find the nun the priest mentioned. After a few hours of travelling, you spot a nun heading your direction on the road. Apparently she had finished the burial rites and was heading back to the church. You explain your situation and she agrees to show you the curse repelling mushroom.
You make a detour off the main road and follow the path into the Duggas Forest. The mushroom grows deep in the forest in the lowest valleys that receive the least sunlight. Before travelling much further, Sister Alma warns you that the forest is dangerous at night and you should stay behind if you aren't prepared. Choice Time >Accompany Sister Alma to find the mushroom >Let a poor old nun do all the work for you Smooth Bagel and Pierre do a bit of slime hunting before calling it a day. You use your last herb to patch up most of the bleeding and spend a few hours terrorizing the local slimes. Sultry Banana has advanced to level 3! (20/35 Hp, 5/30 Mp) Pierre has advanced to level 3! Bluaf accompanies sister Alma into Duggas Forest in hopes of finding a curse-breaking mushroom. You follow a stream deep into the darkest part of the forest. Monsters attempt to impede your progress, but you easily dispatch them with sister Alma's help. She is surprisingly fit for a older nun. Having a religion based around Kung-fu keeps one fairly spry. Several spin-kicks and karate chops later, the party gains enough experience to level up.
Billy has advanced to level 4! Willibard has advanced to level 4! You come across a murky swamp and discover a large mushroom. "This is it," sister Alma tells you. "Careful when you pick it. They get angry when you wake them up." >Pick the mushroom. >Don't pick the mushroom. Savory Buns buys up half a dozen herbs from the shop in town and goes back to kick some slimes around. Its getting much easier than before. You consume one of your herbs. Silky Bacon has advanced to level 4! Pierre has advanced to level 4! 1 period passes (5).

Biggles offers a prayer to the Goddess and plucks the large mushroom from the swampy soil. "SHHHHHHHHROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM!" The mushroom wails in anger as it is violently pulled from the ground. Fungal roots merge together into arms and legs and a face opens up in the center. Alma gives one last word of warning. "Its spores can put you to sleep and inflict poison. Lets finish it quickly before we get worn down."
BOSS TIME You are in control of every round of combat. You can give general suggestions for your allies to follow and change them each turn. You can tell your allies to: Attack Mercilessly- Allies will attack with everything they have regardless of MP consumption. Be Cautious- Allies will attack using no resources such as items or MP Support- Allies will focus on healing and support magic/items The Squad Booger- 45/45 Hp, 25/30 Mp Willibard- 60/60 Hp, 0/0 Mp Alma- 40/40 Hp, 60/70 Mp The Boss Big Gloom ???/??? >Attack >Magic >Item >Flee Answer: Depends on what you want to fuse with. Art Note: I didn't intend for the mushroom boss to turn out looking like a 420 weed monster, but I started messing with the opacity tools in paint and no one was there to tell me to stop.

Succulent Bonobo walks over to a high end clothing store and dances a fusion dance in front of their nicest mirror. You wiggle and shake and connect your fingers to the mirror, it matching you perfectly. Because its a mirror. You stand for a few seconds with your fingers touching the mirror before the store owner shouts at you for leaving smudges. You walk out of the store feeling embarrassed.
Blanka summons a gust of wind. >The wind slices through the Big Gloom for 24 damage! Alma jumps high into the air and spin kicks the Gloom. >Gloom takes 15 damage! Willibard swings his sword into the Gloom. >He chops into the Gloom for 25 damage! Big Gloom spews Sweet Breath! >Borat falls asleep! >Willibard falls asleep! >Alma resists the attack. Big Gloom spits Spores into the air! End Turn
