This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

Most of the best villains I can think of are from manga or anime (Johan of Monster, Light of Death Note). And long time favorites like Hannibal Lecter and Darth Vader have been damaged reputations from sequels and prequels. I'll go with Kayzer Soze of The Usual Suspects.

Bill the Buthcher from Gangs of New York

Edward I in Braveheart

And Scar from The Lion King(lol that movie was AMASING when I was little, and still is today)

EDIT:There was there was this awsome villain in an old Sylvester Stalone movie a I saw. "Kill four men and they call you a murderer, kill a hundred and they call you a war hero".

I completely forgot about Bill the butcher, he was an epic villain and who could not love Scar and Edward the first was pretty brutal

BILL from kill bill is pretty epic too
David Carradine acted the part amazingly

very good choices, i agree with all three

Lol, that was priceless!
As for best movie villian:
I tend to love the villians
One I despise is Sauron (Lord of the Rings) cuz he did absolutely nothing worthwhile
correct me if I;m wrong, but he was useless

Seriously? that guy i mean THAT guy?

Where to even begin with that movie
The hair, the lack of dialogue THE "Call it" being the only conversation basically used by the weird man with his gas canister thingy to kill people

I mean look at him!!!

I thought SGT Barnes from the epic Vietnam war flick "PLATOON" was pretty nasty
Shooting a random innocent villager, letting the others rape a female and her child oh and killing the only decent SGT in the entire movie, i mean killing one of your own soldiers in a war? yeah plus he had an ugly scar on his face and had been shot seven times...he could not die lolz

Yes, this guy

He was awesome, simply because he was so unique. Every other bad guy in every other movie (except the ones which were actually decent, Hannibal Lecter and the Joker) is two dimensional. They simply look bad and act like arseholes. Whereas villains like Anton Chigure and Hannibal, dont act in the typical bad guy manner. This guy has a rather blank, almost laugh-able appearance, and a quiet personality. But if you get on the wrong side of him he is merciless. He obviously has slight mental issues too, judging from the fact that he kills simply for principle, ie because he gave his word to kill someone, he follows through. He is a silent, yet unconventional assassin.

Not to mention the movie was good because it wasn't one of your run off the mill movies where the dialogue was absolutely perfect. It gave a real-life feel to the movie, with a real-life psychopath. That "call it" scene is one of my favourite pieces of dialogue from any movie.
