Poor little kidnapping victim :P But in the original anime, I always loved how he always brought the best out of Seto. Now? I love how he's such a manipulative little brat XD "all my other kidnappers gave me donuts!"
Though brainwashed!Mokuba is creepy.

Personally, I would have loved to see him duel besides that one little instance in Season 1, because I don't even count Season 1 in terms of dueling since the writers didn't know jack about how to play the damn game. XD Poor Mokuba, indeed. No wonder people joke about him being useless, even though he is the most effective support character, since he is actually integral to understanding Seto Kaiba and making him likeable.

In the manga Seto is dueling Umbra and Lumis because they put a strange thing on his duel disk, so that he has to unlock it first. I'm not so much a friend of "Kidnapping Mokuba every damn season" but I have to admit that it was a "nicer" reason to participate in the tag team duel. So, Yami and Seto had somebody to fight for. In the manga it seems a bit egocentric (but so Seto like) that he only duels because of his disk/deck while Yami does it for his friends.

I'm not saying that Mokuba's captures don't add "noble cause" to Seto's fight list, I'm just saying that they resorted to that ploy way more often, instead of being a bit more creative with the scenarios...
