hey folks doing a bang up job of justifying your decisions here, not narrow minded in anyway at all -_-"
:P anyway prity much any band that doesn't write their own music there is too much talentless music these days metal seems to be one of the few genres that actually shows any skill I will give you music can be just for enjoyment but when the worlds gone as far as it has into talentless music be the popular medium then those of us who have a brain have to go the other way to try and balance things out Indie is also a decent genre but I'm talking about Indie as in "Indevidual" like it's ment to be not indie as in "independant" like Shitty Arctic Monkeys and what not thats just pop rock rock is generally good but being watered down by emo bands at the mo few rock bands that actually show originality in this day and age are bands like Muse and..............well I'm sure there are one or two but I can't think of them right now :P oh and rap is talented though not a fan myself just wish their music wouldn't be so self centrered and have very un-talented backing music give us some more "Walk this way" style tracks and rap would look a hell of a load better wow this has been longer than I entended the sound of the voice doesn't matter the voice is an insturment I should know my mums a singing teacher just because it's screaming doesn't mean it's talentless if you can't do it then shut the hell up and face the fact that you just don't like it on that note though most screamo does suck though mostly due to lack of originallity and lyrical content well I think thats enough for now anyone got a problem with my decision they can have a discussion with me about it I don't want no imature "No your wrong cos your stupid" crap just cos you don't like it doesn't mean it's crap it just means you don't like it |

Anyway, my least favorite band would be Nirvana. Not for the fact that they're the run of the mill talentless pop group, they've inspired so much of the terrible grunge crap I see today. Even Linkin Park is friggen better than their shit. At least, maybe Hybrid Theory. That's actually sort of decent. |

Wow, I can't really stand Nirvana either. Their music isn't anything special yet people keep raving about them. I know their style allowed other bands similar to spring up...part of me thinks they're popular because of Kurt's suicide, but that's just my view on it.

Have you only heard thier singles? If so go download "In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth: 3" then "The Crowing" then shutup. Then go read about the story behind their albums on Wikipedia... Oh, and your a Beatles fan, so your opinion is invalid. The Beatles are a horrible band... They are, get over it. And personally, there is alot of Good Rap out there, it's just really hard to find mostly. I understand if you're talking about stuff like Fiddy Cent though. Hehe, Fiddy. |

most modern rap artist the older stuff is mch more bearable.
any metallica album after load is just too glam like for me and they go against what they were supposed to have stood for. R&B, manufactered bands E.G. boy bands and a whole load more. |

I also hate boy-bands a lot. And I hate Paris Hilton! (( I know, she isn't in any band, I just hate her.. and her songs )) Dutch rappers! (( really, they SUCK! eccept for Ali B maybe )) Songs about love usually piss me off, so count all bands that sing about love. (( No, I'm not emo. sorry all the artists in Red Hot Chillie Peppers are VERY talented
just the music they do isn't very talented it's more creative it's more worldly accessable too Flea is one of the worlds greatest bass players also personally don't get why White Stripes keep appearing they are INCREDIBLY talented sure I didn't like their recent albums but they were stil talented I could admit that I mean for Christ's sake the guy has even writen a classical album heard a track off that and it was very well writen you guys need to start differing between what idn't talented and what you just don't like -_-" |

Are you on something? Red Hot Chili Peppers is very minimalistic music. If you're claiming talent, they don't show it unless you believe it's "uniqueness" of the vocalist, although of course, he doesn't go into ranges. By actual talent and playing ability, they show very little. I don't meant to rant, but I think you should know talent when you hear it. I don't, and I would know.
I find RHCP pretty good and they do evoke a certain relaxed environment, but I like other minimalistic bands like them with a bit more emotion. |

It's the same with John Frusciante's (guitarist for RHCP) solo albums. He doesn't really show off very often but when he does, oh man.... he is, in my opinion, the greatest guitarist in the history of music. He just likes to write simple, light pop songs. That's just who he is. But it is a treat when he busts out a kick-ass solo.
