This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

Talking Movies, what else?

I've watched YGO:BBT and I have to say for a 49 minute movie about card games it was pretty good. I got a few lines in the beginning (Melvin) and Yugi got taller! WHAT?!?!? I'm hoping to see that Pokemon movie about Zoroark/Zorua sometime because Yami saw it and said it wasn't too bad...

here's my top 11, why top 11? Because when I steal something I steal from the best!

Number 11

300

300 is a movie that I really enjoy, really because its so over the top. Nothing about this movie is subtle and nothing about it is historical (besides there being a Sparta, Leonidas, Xerxes, etc) but it was based on a graphic novel and I doubt ever supposed to be taken seriously. It knows its over the top and really seems to have fun with it. Its a lot of fun if you're in the mood for mindless blood and slow motion killing done in such a silly and almost cartoonish way.

Number 10

Heavy Metal

This is a strange movie, as you can tell from the picture. Its a cult film from the 80s (made famous from its soundtrack and the south park episode that spoof's it), its actually the only Canadian movie on this list (and has a great many famous actors in it). Based off a french magazine by the same name it loosely (and I mean loosely) fallows a bunch of places this glowing green orb called the Loc-Nar goes to and messes with people.
Lots of nudity, violence and drugs, this was truly a movie made for teenagers in the 80s, which is no surprise I saw it at 15. Very silly, but a lot of fun to watch if you're in the right mindset (the soundtrack alone is worth it, which I am proud to say I own on vinyl). You might be curious what I thought of the sequel, it was alright, had much more of a plot then the original I'll give it that, but didn't have the charm and hilarity the original had, which was a shame.

Number 9

The Room

This one needs no introduction, as one of the worst movies of all time how could I not love it (being a huge bad movie fan). Its so bad you sometimes wonder if its truly planned to be this bad or Tommy Wiseau is actually insane.
Anyone who knows anything about this knows why I'd love it so much. What else can I say but, You're tearing me apart Lisa!!

Number 8

Trailer Park Boys (1999)
(note I couldn't find a picture of the box or anything as it is hard to come by for some reason, being a pilot for the tv show)

For those who don't know Trailer Park Boys is a, rather famous, tv show that aired here in Canada for several years and had 3 movies made about it (1 as the pilot, 1 during, and 1 at the end) there's not a lot I can really say about this movie as no one would really know what its about nor would they ever have seen it.
The movies (and especially the tv show) take a concept that, on paper, sounds rather unoriginal, but just how they do it makes it a truly unique show. The characters, despite being criminals, are actually nice people, who steal and rob people for actually pretty noble reasons (ex- one wants a better life for his family, another wants to care for all the cats in the trailer park). It really makes the characters likable, as apposed to the complete scum of the earth they'd be if they didn't have these motives.
And it even had Alex Lifeson from Rush in an episode, as himself, (and the last movie, as a Police officer).

Number 7

The Shawshank Redemption

I saw this movie as a kid, but never really appreciated it until I read the book in grade 11 (probably the last normal high school project I did before my massive root canal), I really enjoy this movie, and to this day, I am not sure why. I guess with good movies, with me anyways, its harder to pin down why I like something good then why I like something bad. Its one of my favorite Stephen King stories, maybe because its so different then his other works, nothing supernatural, nothing really brutal or scary. Its just a story about a man who goes to jail for a crime he doesn't commit and tries to survive (and of course plan his escape). The book and the movie don't change all that much (though the movie adds more primary characters and has several wardens and head of the guards, where as the movie just had one). Despite that it doesn't change the mood or what its trying to say. And I always loved Morgan Freeman as Red, and whenever I read the book its his voice narrating it now (just like the movie). This one is probably the most serious movie in this list, at least thats my opinion.

Number 6

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Arc

I have a soft spot for these movies, even the new movie that a lot of people didn't like. There's something in every one I enjoy, and I am entertained by all of them. I chose this one because it was the first one I saw as a kid, and the one I like the most.
There's not much I can say about it everyone already doesn't know. A solid movie and worthy of my list.

Number 5

The Fantastic Planet (or La Planete Sauvage

One of the most surrealistic films ever made, The Fantastic Planet is probably the strangest movie I have ever seen. I don't really even want to try and describe it, because it will take away from what it is. Everything flows with eachother so beautifully and yet is so strange. I first saw it in art class and tracked it down soon after, instantly enjoying it.
Its a movie you really have to see to understand.

Number 4

Back to the Future

Another movie that needs little introduction. Like Indiana Jones, I enjoy all 3 movies, and they really grew on me in time. Christoper Lloyd is one of my favorite actors and this truly is is best role. I put the first one because it was the first one I saw, but if I actually had to choose, I'd really say the 3rd one is my personal favorite, just how its done and its setting. Not much more to say, really.

Number 3

Spirited Away

I originally passed up seeing this movie until my own curiosity got me to watch it. And I loved it. I loved how it looked, I loved how it sounded, I loved everything. I often say, and its true, sometimes I really need to step back and watch something good to recover from the bad. And Spirited Away was a great way to get off the horror of Cannibal Holocaust.
I am sure you all know what this one is about, so I'll say no more except if you've not seen it, I highly recommend it!

Number 2

Yor the Hunter From the Future

This is the ultimate B-Movie, the greatest bad movie ever made. It, (like the spoony one said) rips off so much that its something wholly original again.
It goes in all the ways you'd think and it really doesn't. Its one of the strangest movies I have ever seen, and its format isn't all that unique. Not to mention the movie seems to be aware of how awesome it is (what with its theme song declaring its Yor's World and he's the man!). TheSpoonyOne did a fantastic review of it a few years ago, well worth watching. (Only reason its above Spirited Away, is that I've seen it more and had it around longer).

and Number 1

Laputa Castle in the Sky

Its rare a movie can become my favorite after seeing it only once (only twice has that happened, Yor, and now this). Laputa is probably the most visually pleasing movies I have ever seen, having so much of what I loved imagining about and creating when I write in it, even the opening sequence is a fantastic display I can watch again and again. I haven't seen the Japanese original yet (am actually gonna put it on in a few minutes) but the english dub isn't bad, not bad at all. It doesn't take away from it, and has the added benefit of letting my eyes wander all over the screen and seeing every little nuance, rather then forced to read subtitles. And for a movie like this, (and Spirited Away) I don't want to miss a thing.
Truly a movie I recommend to everyone.

Well there's my top 11...

My all-time favorite movie is The Day the Clown Cried.

It's a film by Jerry Lewis. That dude is hysterical.

He agrees to get some children into a Nazi train like some sort of sick pied piper. When the kids are on their way to the gas chamber, Doork decides to fight off the guards and escape with them ... no, not really, he just goes into the chambers with them and they all die.
