I have to say with music there isnt much that I dont like (in comparison to what I do), heck ill give anything a listen to (except john cage's epic fail of a 'song' I can hear that whenever I want) but avril lavigne (sp?)'s song 'girlfriend' makes me feel sick everytime I hear it (bad memories) and for some reason so does paramore's misery business, which i find strange...
most of the 'rock chick' disney songs i wont give the time of day, simply because I find them offensive. but yeah that's my two pennies. |

Y'know, I'm 100% positive all the people here saying "oh god I hate all that is rap it's the worst genre ever yadda yadda yadda" say that thinking of this:
Forgetting that the genre includes songs like this: And this: |

I said I hated how modern rap tries to be like old rap.
Like Lil' Wayne trying to be like N.W.A or 3-6 Mafia trying to be like the Wu-Tang Clan. |

The whole gangsta rap movement was the worst thing to happen to the genre, to be frank.
Common summed it up better than I could: |

I'm not picky when it comes to music. However, I hate most rap and death metal in which you hear little but screaming.

I'm going to add in most rock bands where the female is a lead, it usually doesn't sound good. Except Arch Enemy but thats more metal like stuff than rock.

I have only actually disliked one artist: "Lil" Wayne.
Every other song I have ever heard in my life I have generally enjoyed. |

Someone mentioned All Time Low. I would like to agree.
I don't really care for their music. They whine and aren't really unique at all - they're boring and I couldn't tell the difference between them and Panic. I'm not really a fan of the genre anyway. I went to the high school where the bassist attended, so I have met him on more than one occasion. I didn't even realize who he was until a friend of mine pointed it out, and then I had to ask who All Time Low was. Then I heard their music, and here I am today. I would also like to point out - THANK YOU LORD SHMECKIE. People have this impression of rap being all about 'I f*ck bitches' when there are good artists who have talent. I don't actively listen to rap, though I know the difference between shitty rap and good rap. Hell, I can like both; if it has a good beat, I'll listen. I like dancing to it, so I can't bash it! I do like Reggaeton, although some lyrics are pretty...dirty and stupid. I like reggaeton more than the rap heard in the United States; you hear those beats with an awesome bass and it's a party. Anyway, on topic, I try to give all artists a chance, but no matter how much I listen to some, they won't ever appeal to me. The already mentioned Miley Cyrus is one of them, along with Nikki Manaj. OH MY GOD, PUSSY ON YOUR SIDEBURNS? REALLY? P.S. LOL at HarleyThomas for posting a picture so accurate. |

On Topic: I don't like Battles as much as I think I should. Everyone who's heard of them seems to love them, but I just can't get into it. |

Reggaeton always toys with my emotions. It sounds great, but when I make out the lyrics, it always kills it for me... All too often Reggaeton stuff just sound like gangsta rap shit, but way more hyperactive. And I'm gonna have to agree with the mention of Nikki Manaj. Then again, anyone associtaed with Young Money is bound to be terrible, for Young Money is terrible. Their music kills children's dreams every time it plays. |

Oh, I don't like Katy Perry either. I could stand 'I Kissed A Girl', but 'California Gurls' does not work for me. Snoop Dogg and his army of gummy bears don't help the song either. |
