This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

The books are very entertaing IMO. Very action packed for a book, and i like how the events from the book relate to the recent events in real life.

Your thoughts?

Oh, I love the Alex Rider series! Anthony Horowitz is a genius. There are, unfortunately, some moments in the book (like descriptions) that could've been handled in a less boring way, but overall, excellent series.

I find them to be fun. Mindless, adventurous fun. Although I was extremely disappointed with Anthony Horowitz when he released Angel Ark.. [ Come on, he killed Alex off in the book, and then he magically just survived so that another book could be written? ]

You mean the Stormbreaker movie? I didn't think it was that bad, although I was kind of disappointed because Alex seemed all arrogant about being a teenage spy. He wasn't like that in the books. <img src='/images/emoticons/smiley4.png'>

Oh, man! I haven't read any Alex Rider for yonks! The film adaptation of Stormbreaker was good, but they changed the villan's name to "Darius Sayle" instead of "Herod Sayle" for some reason.

Brilliant series, but have you noticed how snakehead was written so it could be easily turned into a film? I constantly noticed that.
Good books, though. A billion times better than the "Power of Five" crap.
Don't even get me started on those.

Alex Rider.

GREATEST BOOKS EVER!

Read all seven. Saw the crap-ass movie. Can't wait for the next.

[ I read on his website that the eighth might take place in Russia ]

I also love the Power of Five series.

I saw the film and wondered how anyone who hasn't read the book could understand what's going on...
Although that happens a lot when I watch films of books.

I really do love the alex rider series. Although I do agree that the movies were crap. Why do good books turn into crappy movies? But anyway, I've read all of the alex rider books after a friend of mine introduced me to them. I really do think that the gadgets are the best part of the books.

I thought they were going a bit too far with stuff like that, little spin-off guides and stuff. Harry Potter did that and now there's so many books about the series, JK Rowling doesn't know about half of them.

But they are sometimes pretty useful ^_^

I haven't read the series in a while, but I love all the books. I have yet to see the film, but I am not to be put off by the comments here. I'll just try and tell myself that, if they ever make film versions of the other books, they'll be much better than the first.
