This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

I think that shows on TV are getting worst. Thank goodness that Avatar is back on, and that's a jewel in all of the dirt. Remember the good old days when we didn't have ten million new shows like 'Flavor of Love' or 'I Love New York'. List some of the shows your not looking foward to seeing on TV or shows that you dislike.

Reaper.
I Love New York/Flavor of Love.
Back at the Barnyard. (Stop beating a dead horse, Nick. The movie sucked.)

Within me burns a flaming hatred of reality tv, its true. But if anything, I think that tv might be coming back (look at shows like Heroes, House, and Ugly Betty). Animation has seen better days.Hopefully Avatar will continue to set a good example.

I'm a bit worried about Heroes already spoiler [sp]I know it's only one episode in but it looks like they're already repeating the faceless bad guy thing. I realise it's to be suspensful but they manage that fine without having to hide the bad guys face in the shadows for most of the series. In fact they did it with Linderman and Sylar last series. Not to forget the "Oh we're not going to reveal what their power is until much later" (Maya) gimmick being used again. Hopefully they proove me wrong though.[quote]

Adult Swim is getting Death Note later in the year, so that's good. The only good thing about Adult Swim is that they have good anime shows. Bleach,Blood +, and now Death Note.. I hate the new shows that they have for Cartoon Network.

My Gym Partners A Monkey (Ugh. Awful.)
Out of Jimmy's Head (WHY?! Cartoon Network is copying Nick with all of the cruddy live action shows.)
Bo-bobo-bo-bo (Not sure if I got the name of the show right, but the japanese version is much better.)
One piece (Take it off,Toonami! Put something good on! Like Tsubasa or something!)

That is so true.

But no, TV now is getting better than than normal, an abbundance of good shows are coming, Heroes is good, Chuck started out great, Journeyman did too, Reaper wasn't that bad, Bionic Woman is on now and it isn't terrible, Stargate Atlantis is coming back on Friday, Torchwood is off to a good start, Dr. Who is still owning, Smallville is coming back, Supernatural will be coming back, Monk and Psych are coming back in January, I mean many good shows are here.

Wow, someone else that watches Supernatural! Yay!

Yeah, I agree. CW has some stuff that looks really bad, like Reaper, Life is Wild, and Aliens in America. Nick has Tak and Barnyard, both of which suck arse. Cartoon Network has piles of crap, like Jimmy's Head and all that other crap that they push on people. 4kids is still sucking, thank God for Funi taking OP.

But LOST is returning soon, and Heroes is back, so is Smallville and Supernatural, so there's some good on TV.

Don't know how people will react to this ...

But ...

Ever since The O.C. has been syndicated, I can't get enough of it. (No spoilers please, though the series is really old I prefer to watch each episode genuinely).

I think I'm really behind in watching TV ... 90% of the shows you guys mentioned, I have never heard of or seen. I'd probably like Heroes, Prison Break, and the like, but I've never seen them and don't feel compelled to.
The fact that I spend my time watching cartoons from the 90s (Earthworm Jim, Felix the cat anyone?) doesn't help.

Perhaps I'm too retro.

I saw Journeyman on the torrent sites and was tempted to check it out, care to give a brief synopsis HeavyDDR?

Also I forgot House started back the other day, I've got it downloaded but not watched it yet because I had to watch the last episode pf season 3.

You mean back on BBC or back in America? I want Monk back on BBC NOW goddamnit!

I think British comedy is awful at the moment... it's getting better though cause they're getting rid of dihorria like Catherine Tait, Tittybangbang, Little Britain and Little Miss Jocelin (although I think LMJ may be getting another series... ). Comedies like Mock the Week, Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe and Top Gear are what keep me sane(ish).

90s TV was the best though. It just was Robot Wars, WCW, Earthworm Jim, Biker Mice From Mars, The Magic Schoolbus, Animaniacs, Freakazoid, Doug, Clarissa Explains it All, Funhouse and about a billion others PWN anything in the present day (except maybe Monk).

There a show that was on a while ago on BBC called Hyperdrive that got pretty good reviews but I haven't seen yet and if you haven't watched it yet Jekyll with James Nesbitt is amazing. News Knight with Sire Trevor is pretty funny as well if you like topical comedy.
Just torrent Monk, not that I condone such behaviour obviously.

Rocko's Modern Life was great because of all the innuendo.

It's true, most recent British comedies are getting worse -_-

I also think that CSI Miami has gotten pretty boring lately -_-

I haven't liked the newer episodes of Monk (most of season five, actually). The early seasons were amazing, addictive, and sweet, but it seems like lately they're relying entirely on guest stars to keep the show going.

Personally, I think it's pretty cool when celebrity guests come in but it's far from relying on it. The dude that plays monk is still awsome.

ahhh the 90's did anyone watch Sausage Factory or that werewolf thing which I can't remember the name of right now but it will come to me at some point but the theme tune had me going for ages. But definitly some shows are going down the drain like 24, stopped watching it half way through because it was all just repeats, thank goodness Heroes is back!

It's great, well not for everyone, that anime has made a decent arrival in the UK with the british versions of Anime network and anime central showing daily now.

Personally I think all kids TV is terrible, minus the reruns. All the new shows lack originality and burn my ears to watch. Right now it just seems to be that occaisional show like Heroes, Prison break and so on that catch my attention.
I agree about the O.C. though, wish it had continued >.<

anybody watch HBO? If so, then I bear good, yet old news: Entorage(spelling error) and Flight of the Conchords have been renewed. I think FotC is flippin' awesome. Oh, and Journeyman's cool. Sadly, I can't stand CN's daytime line-up, as Adult Swim has the only good shows anymore, But I think Robot chicken is on it's worst season, besides for the Zelda sketch, which was cool, but thank god Metalocalypse and Lucy: Daughter of the Devil are awesome, cuz Frisky Dingo is sucking more than ussual.

HBO, eh? Only thing that comes to mind is Oz, which is kind of a disturbing show. Luckily, I'll spare all of your virgin ears any details of it.

Dead Like Me, though not totally an original concept for a show, is probably the only other HBO series I've ever watched.

What about Robot Chicken? That show is awesome. More so than Blood+, that show is lame. More so than the last few episodes of Inuyasha, where I swear they were trying to appeal to little kids, because the last ten or so episodes were just retarded. Thank god for DN though, because[ I REALLY want to hear what Mello and L sound like in english, and see how evil they can make Light and Ryuk sound like. ] So yeah.

Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh (I'm sorry but BW sucks and so does Zexal IMHO).

I like Zexal more than BW in English, though. Still both are horrific.
