This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

Default Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

Just finished this game, and damn. What a rush.

I'm a longtime veteran of the Metal Gear series, and at first I was nervous that Platinum Games was making this. After all, Metal Gear games are well known for introspective dialogue and stealth, while Platinum Games is known for Bayonetta, i.e. the least subtle game ever.

But What Rising really is is Metal Gear's equivelant to Advent Children. It's simple, loud, boisterous, colorful, exhilarating and a hell of a lot of fun. But unlike the Metal Gear Solid titles it's not really meant to be taken even halfway serious as a sequel to Guns of the Patriots. I thought it was pretty cool, but don't come into this games thinking it will be anything other than hacking giant robots to pieces. For the REAL follow up to MGS4 we'll have to wait for Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes.

Please discuss!

I've been told that the campaign is only 6 hours long which I don't think is good value for money.

If you're not a huge MGS fan like me, it's a solid rental. It also has pretty good replay value.

And that sums up why I think this game is silly.
