"Xbox One will connect all your devices in one area! Again!"
"Tired of the hassle of having all your entertainment at your fingertips? Voice commands will allow you to change the channel by shouting at your television!" "Blah, Blah, technical jargon." "SPORTS GAMES!" "Connect with skype and do the things you already do on your computer and smart phone! Hurray for triple redundancy!" "MORE SPORTS GAMES!" "Hi, I'm Call of Duty CEO Eric Doucheberg, telling you about the exciting new Call of Duty Ghosts. Watch as the groundbreaking models, creative storytelling, and realistic characters propel gaming even further in the wrong direction. We totally aren't ripping off Halo this time." "Have you connected all your electronics yet?" "Why is it called Xbox One?" |

Well, definitely not buying it. Not having backwards compatibility, at this point for me at least, was the deal breaker.
But hey, with it not being backwards compatible, it means that it definitively frees me up to switch systems if I wanted to go out and buy a next gen console, since it's the same difference now anyway, thanks Microsoft! All the other problems are just helping to further sever me from the Xbox system. |

Everything about this just shouts "epic fail". I bet the lack of backwards compatibility is intentional in an attempt to sell us digital copies of our old games.

I personally think this will be an excellent system. Microsoft has never disappointed me, so I do not think they will do so now. I intend to be first in line to buy an XBox One, since it sounds cooler than all the other next gen and current gen systems.

An inferior toy for an inferior species... Perhaps this will usher in your demise. All will cry out for salvation, but the XBox One will strike them down.

E3 is here!
The Xbox One will be available in November for £430 but I feel that is too expensive, especially compared to the PS4 at £350. |

This generation of consoles as a whole is just a joke, but the Xbox One is the worst joke of them all. I'm just going to go back to playing .Hack and Katamari on the PS2.

PS4 looks nice and the WiiU may eventually have some games. Just because Microsoft dropped the ball, doesn't mean the next generation will be bad.
I fully expect Microsoft to remove the DRM and lower the price within the first year, if not before launch. They seem to have made an incredible miscalculation. |
