I'm currently running Plant Synchro and Vayusworn. A friend of mine is running Fortune Ladies, which is the deck from hell. Another friend is running Karakuris, which surprisingly is a really good deck. I don't see why everyone runs the OTK variant, it stands up quite well in a long duel. Another friend is running Glad Beasts, which used to be my deck, and another friend is building six sams with the Storm of Ragnarok cards.
One thing: Shooting Star is an ASSHOLE. I was able to summon him four times against my cousin the other day. So broken...

meh shooting star is pretty easy to defeat though.
Book him and wipe him off the feild. Or use two destruction effects seeing as he can only negate one. Or chain a card to his effect once you trigger it! Bottemless a sumoned monster, shooting star activates, chain compulse or some other card to get rid of him.(blackwings have icarus, infernity's have barrier, sams have bullshit, gemini beatdown have gemeni spark, frognarchs have a caius, x-saber's will just use brio or trish) Speaking of trish that cards worth is OMG!!!!

I used to have a kaiba/dragon semi-loosely based on Kaiba's duelist kingdom deck.
I'm modified the deck over the years to include exodia and the god cards I'd list my current deck, but I'd have to grab it and I'm 2 lazy too. Plus, I don't want to type out 40+ card names right now, may be I will later. Oh, since we're on the trading card topic does anyone still play? i do on occasion. Just for fun no tournments of anything.

I'm currently running my Alien Deck, but I'm wanting to start up a secondary one. However, I don't want to use one everyone else is using. Can anyone give me an example of an underused but still viable deck archetype?
Also, is it still ppropriate to insist on ebay prices as demonstrating a cards worth, or do we have to go with our guts now?
