something went screwy in the avatar department

I browse for my normal avatar upload it and press change, but the image dosent change and on the active users list i just have a black box for my avatar... HALP!

Try uploading it as a .gif file. Get the image and click save as, go to the drop down box for file type and click the one that says (.gif) next to the name.

It seems like it just takes awhile to load. I just updated my Avatar and it'll be up soon I guess.

As the forums advance and get shiny, there should be the choices of what file formats to upload as an avatar. and hopefully they'll let them be animated and at 100x100. (We're still waiting for that, ya know.)

First I tried to upload an avatar as a .bmp thingy - but I don't think it worked. Then I read some of the posts here, resaved it as a .gif file (and reuploaded obviously) but I still don't think it's worked, hence the black box.

The format of the attempted avatar? I don't really know. I tried resizing it multiple times, and it's not an animated picture. I really don't get what I'm doing wrong.

Uhhrrr... I says it changes my avatar, but when it has uploaded my new avatar, it's still my old avatar! xDDD

The avatar I'm trying to use still isn't working. It has the words "bmp" at the end. Does that make the difference?
