This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

I don't really care that it's not historically accurate. All I know is it put me to sleep.

I have to agree with NiGHTS on this one.

The post I made about a month ago seems relevant here:
Quote:
People. Seriously.

300 WAS BASED OFF OF A COMIC BOOK, WHICH IN TURN WAS LOOSELY BASED OFF OF A HISTORICAL EVENT.

Regardless, in terms of entertainment value, I don't see how it was pointless and dumb. The cinematography was exceptional (and very consistent with the comic). And just like any Shakespearean tragedy, you knew what was going to happen even before you started watching it (or at least I did). If you were watching this and expecting 300 Spartans to defeat the entire Persian Empire, I suggest you go back to watching the LOTR Trilogy. Though it would be farfetched to state it was one of the best movies I've seen (it isn't), it definitely does not belong in the list of the worst.
So, people, for the love of God ... stop mentioning 300 in this topic. It's better than you give it credit for. And there are movies far worst out there.

Considering that I haven't mentioned 300 as a candidate for worst movie ever, your defense seems misplaced.

Besides, you're not going to change my mind about 300 being a *boring* movie, because to me it is.

300 was good for what it really is. A Mindless testerone Filled Slaughter in slow motion...nothing more nothing less.

Fair enough, as long as we can agree that it is not one of the worst movies ever made. I was supporting NiGHTS' point that people should stop bashing 300 here.

I think it was the slow motion that made it boring. I might have stayed up if it wasn't in slo mo.

But yeah, I'm just gonna stick to bashing films that really deserve it now, like Epic Movie (more like Epic Fail amirite)

300 definitely wasn't one of the worst movies ever made. I think it was just so over hyped by some people that if you went to see it there was no way it could live up to expectations.

Epic Movie sucked. I had my hopes up that it would've been awsome. But of course it wasn't.
Another crappy movie was snakes on a plane. The title sucked in the first place, a snake bites a guy's nards, and they made a music video for it. [ I can see an awsome sequel for it " Rats on a boat " ]

Snakes on a Plane failed. Miserably. Too much Internet hype, I guess.

Never seen High School Musical but I'll agree with John Tucker Must Die. Actually wait no, never seen that either I'm thinking of that Win A Date with such and such film.

High school musical is horribly overrated, but I can think of worse movies. Still not blaming you for the choice.

In terms of the worst sequel ever my money is on Shrek the Third...

All Disney sequels. the originals are classic, why do they have 2 ruin them?
Well, I thought Toy Story 2 was really good. And even though it wasn't my personal favorite, Pocahontas 2 was based off of the historical event, so I let it slide.

But the movies I hate, hate, HATE are:
High School Musical (My friend forced me to watch it... I now avoid her so I haven't seen the second one, the first was painful enough)
Napoleon Dynamite (I hated how I saw his ugly face everywhere I went. The film has no plot)
And the one I hated the most....
A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS (Nick screwed up the books big time... it was out of order, and contained important things you're not supposed to know about until around book 9 or so... and it was supposed to be based only off of 1-3)

I concur with the Batman movies sucking major.

The house of wax was terrible! It was just so overblown. I mean the wax people in the museum are actually real--creepy but the whole damn town? WTF? That was just not even remotely believable and it added nothing to the movie. Not only that, the brothers theme was something else and by that-- I mean STUPID. Ultraviolet another crapper, and last but not least American Wedding--BLECK.

I've avoided watching this (I presume you're talking about the remake) because I heard such bad thing s about it. My mate said in one scene you can actually see the boom mike cutting into the top of the shot.

A general rule for me is to avoid any films which have "cross-over" celebrities (i.e. I specifically avoided this film because it had Paris Hilton).

Again, it's a general rule, since some "cross-over" celebrities have legitimate acting talent (i.e. Ice Cube in the Friday trilogy).

Well Pixar made Toy Story 2 so you kind of expected it to be good. As for Pochohontas 2...good point ^^

As for 'Unfortunate events' they may not have expected high enough revenues to make a second film, so best they use the source material from the later books in the first movie just in case the film isn't a great hit.
As for the end of the first book being used as the end of the movie, it felt more climactic and finale-esque than the third books ending. It wasn't a great movie so glad you picked it, but on the other hand accuracy doesn't always garrantee a bad/good film. Take a look at Forrest Gump, it was different to the book on innumerable levels, yet bagged 6 Oscars, including best picture.

It seems a genral rule of thumb that if the title can be mocked, or the concept is over used it will be made into a movie.

Another bad movie to add to the list would be ' The incredibles' .. that movie was the worset Xmen rip off until Heros came along. :)

Christmas is coming so DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT EVER watch Santa with Muscles starring Hulk Hogan. It will rot your mind like the Canadian Biologist villain in it. Yes you read that right and is scares me to this day...simply for messing my mind on any logic.

1. It's a Fantastic Four parody, not a X-Men ripoff, 2. what'chu talkin' bout Willis. It's one of the only CGI movies to be worth more than a 'meh'. (And no, I don't like Finding Nemo, so don't bring that up.)

Finding nemo? is that the CG movie that is about a talking animal of some description? :-P Dont worry I think that genre sucks anyway . I do admit that it was better then what I call the 'Stappler movie' formula, but thats not hard :-)

Exactly, plus the storyline, character personalities and general point of the movie is completely different to Fantastic Four, an only slightly related to Xmen, who in general are not in my opinion typical superheroes. Personally I thought Incredibles was better than all the X-men and Fantastic Four movies, so had it more elements of a rip-off, it still would have been superior.
