Update on the contest:
Since sign-ups are *officially* scheduled to end tomorrow, the plan is to start the first round of The Ultimate Challenge of Doom on Thursday, July 11th at 8:00AM Eastern Daylight Time. As stated previously, each round lasts for 24 hours. Submissions must be sent to me before Friday, July 12th, 8:00AM Eastern Daylight Time.

The Ultimate Challenge of Doom Round 1: Anime Convention Scavenger Hunt
Welcome, participants! Are you ready to embark on your challenging journey? Well, you’d better get packing! Because your first task is to survive Youmacon, Detroit’s Anime Convention, and a convention that our very own LittleKuriboh regularly attends! But wait! You can’t just attend the convention without preparing first! An anime convention is not your average trip. There are some very particular items that you need to remember to bring in order to get the most out of your stay. Here is a list of important items that you need to bring with you to Youmacon. A wad of cash Alcoholic Beverage Anime DVD Anime Plushie Anime T-shirt Batteries Cell phone charger Deck of Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh Cards Deodorant Face paint First Aid Kit Hand sanitizer Handheld video game system Lanyard for your badge Manga Messenger Bag Mini fridge Munchies/snacks Non-prescription medication Pajamas (extra points if pajamas are anime-related) Pocky Sewing kit Sketchbook Soap Some type of anime accessory (bracelet, earrings, gloves, etc) Something for LittleKuriboh to sign Tampons Vitamins Water bottle Wig How to participate in the round: -Take your camera, and take pictures of as many items on this list as you can. Depending on the quality, size, and accuracy of the picture, you will gain 0 to 2 points for each picture. Quality = clarity of item in picture, neither blurry nor ambiguous Size = about the size of a picture that you would look at on Facebook Accuracy = the item you are claiming to represent is, in fact, the item in your picture -For items that could apply to more than one of its type, you may take up to 3 pictures. For example, if you have 3 or more manga, then you may take up to 3 pictures of different manga. However, you may not submit the same manga 3 times. -Please submit your pictures to MrsSallyBakura via Private Message before Friday, July 12, 8:00AM Eastern Daylight Time. Pictures must be uploaded to a separate image hosting site (like Photobucket or Imageshack), and the images must show up in the message as images (not just links to the images), requiring the use of image tags. If you do not know how to do this, please refer to The Newbie Guide. Failure to submit your content in time will result in disqualification, and you will not receive your custom title at all. -As part of the general rules, please do not use an Internet search engine or other means of searching for images online for your submissions. Each image must be your own. Failure to follow this rule will result in disqualification, and you will not receive your custom title at all. -The 5 participants with the lowest points will be eliminated. Ready or not, the challenge begins!

I will work on some photos tonight. I think I have a fair amount of these.
Also, do disqualified people count as 'knocked out'? i.e if 3 people fail to submit, do the 2 lowest scorers get knocked out instead?

Pads will counts as 1 point, because they serve the same purpsoe as a tampon, but are not tampons. (tampons are also more comfortable when you are walking around a huge con all day) Quote:
