Not sure if this will be helpful, but here's a program that let's people do real-time RPG gameplay over the internet. http://www.rpgobjects.com/index.php?c=orpg
Currently working on a backstory. Will be posted soon. |

Elenair is a 25 year-old halfling who lived within the comforts of her family until the age of 12. When her parents had a bad harvest one year, however, they gave her into the care of her great uncle far away because they could not feed her. She soon decided that she could not live with the crotchety old man, however, and ran away, striking out on her own. She learned to fend for herself in the wild, hunting and gathering for her food. She gets what else she needs by bartering pelts or by gathering and selling herbs. Her silent ways make others wary of her, but once loyal to someone, she will die for them.

In that case I guess the real question is "Does the DM accept bribes?" And if not, can I at least have a backstory that gets me killed before I started?
|

|
||||
|

I do take bribes, yes. But no checks or money orders.

Shit...Um. Ok.
My name is Jack Harris. My mother walked out on me before I was born. My father was a grizzly bear. The clergy took me in at a young age and taught me discipline, honor, virtue, and how to catch prey with my strong, powerful jaws. They taught me the ways of war and I studied to become a brilliant strategist. I studied and trained hard every day and eventually I was tasked to lead a group of mercenaries to wipe out some local bandits. I studied their camp and drew up plans on how to defeat them. The bandits were more powerful than we had anticipated and we were few in number. Every plan I made could have only ended in our defeat. We could not return for reinforcements. The town had paid everything they could just to send this many men and my honor demanded I stay and fight. Things were looking hopeless. But then I spotted a spider trying to jump to a tree branch to spin its web. It jumped once, but fell short. It climbed back up the trail of webbing it left behind and tried the jump again. Once again, it fell short. Surely this spider will give up and build its web elsewhere I thought. But once again, the spider climbed into position and jumped with everything it had. Success! At last, the spider jumped to the branch and began work on the most beautiful web anyone had ever seen. It was at that moment, I knew what I must do. I rallied the men. This battle would be challenging, but we can't win if we don't try. We let out a fierce battle cry and stormed the bandit camp, wrapping them up in our webs. Then, with our powerful mandibles, we bit into their heads, drained them of their fluids, and laid our eggs inside their lifeless bodies. |

Unless you talked to Tyler I think you're going to have to wait in the queue behind baku

The man is right (yes, I just called you a man. Savor it). You'll have to wait in line. However, with the current line-up, it shouldn't be too long before someone gets a chance to play.
And now for the step that has the most difficulty: I need to confirm all players as friends on a messenger program of some sort so that all of the role playing doesn't have to happen on here. This way, we can all troll each other without the need for our own dedicated server just to hold it all (if you have a problem with that, look at the first post's disclaimer). If you can't do anything like that, then like I said way back then, this game might not be for you. At least until I figure out how to make that other thing work without charging people. |

My MSN account is on here. It's easily accessible to all of you. The same goes for my skype account, if Ninja tracking it down is credible evidence.
I've started writing everyone in. I'll post when I can contact all of you in a chat. Otherwise, this game won't be very fun for you. |
