And even if it wasn't the in Christian belief, then why shouldn't they accept homosexuals? In such a hypothetical situation, their morales go against the happiness of others. Luckily, the belief isn't that, so it's not as conflicting as it could be.
Also, as again, Sally said, the Church has already been making changed themselves, so it's not a result of forcing them to conform of another's morals.

It is the best principal of
true christianity that everyone should be loved, no matter if they are your best friend or your worst enemy. People sin, and they should be given love and shown the way to salvation through Jesus. But sins are not meaningless; You need to seek forgiveness for your sins from Jesus/God, not be encouraged to continue sinning. The expression "Hate the sin, love the sinner" comes to mind. The fact is that parts of the bible forbid homosexuality, and it is a considered a sin by many christians.
My point in all of this that I would really like you to understand... If someone believes that God has told them how to live, and they do not harm others by doing so (And I do not mean hurting someone's feelings), then others have no right to force their views upon them.
If you believe a fetus to be a human being with a soul gifted by God, and abortion is considered murder to you, someone else has no right to force you to accept said murder.
There is a difference between tolerance and acceptance. Acceptance entails approval. It is wrong to force someone who believes that God says homosexuality is a sin to accept it as moral. Just as it is wrong to force someone who believes homosexuality as moral to accept it as sin. Both sides should tolerate one another as much as they can, and should discuss the issues, but never force your beliefs on another.
If a religion has beliefs that are deemed as the will of God, others have no right to force change upon that religion. Just as that religion has no right to force acceptance of their beliefs on non-believers.
Demands that the catholic church
accept abortion, homosexuality, etc are wrong and hypocritical. Just as it would be wrong for the catholic church to force rejection on others.
