Some of the ties make more sense than others when you've read his works beforehand. I do kind of feel like Randall Flagg is regularly a shoehorn to get Standers to actually read the rest of his works, but that's okay, cause it is for a good cause. (they were both pretty good, even if the stand is getting outdated now).

I've never read a Stephen King book. The on'y one I have some interest in reading is The Body, but I'd rather finish Hitchhikers first before I start anything new.
[ I started reading hitchhikers years ago and still haven't picked it back up. it takes me years to read books. ] |

back in high school, i'd usually finish a book within a week, Dark Tower novels included

I'm a slow reader
but my issue is I'll get through half the book and put it down and just won't pick it up until like 2-3 years later. Not even that it bores me, like Hitchhikers I fucking love, it's just how I am lol |

I usually plow right through a book in a day or so, but the dark tower books were an exception. Especially early on when I had conflicted feelings about it

I just went through a Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy stint. Listened to the radio drama, watched the BBC series, watched the movie and now re-reading the books. Read to books in highschool but can't remember much.

I was big into space at the time =) Still am. I'm actually going to listen to the audiobooks next. The ones on audible are by Steven Fry for some and Martain Freeman for the rest. I have So Long and Thanks for all the Fish read by Douglas Adams which isn't on audible so will listen to that as well to compare.
