BREAKING NEWS:

Lots of things happened very fast!

Ellie started her labour on tuesday evening, and slowly progressed until wednesday evening when we took her up to the hospital. After getting a second opinion when her contractions intensified suddenly, she was admitted onto the labour triage ward. However, 7 hours later, she was still 3cm dilated, her contractions were very painful, she was exhausted, and the babies heart rate was highly elevated.

They decided to take her in for an emergency C-section.

At 6:49am on Thursday 21st January 2016, my baby daughter Annabelle was born, weighing 7lbs 12oz (3.52Kg).

I hope Ellie is doing alright, that sounds like quite the labor.

So long as we don't have to preserve their heads on trophy mounts, i'm ok with silver.

Yeah she's doing pretty well considering. There's a fair bit of residual infection risk, but it's all being pre-empted and treated by the staff. She mostly just wants to get home.

YAY CONGRATULATIONS! I hope you will be able to go rest at home soon, although, in the hospital you really do get more rest with staff to help with fussy baby if needed...
