Anzu Appreciation Thread

Téa gets bashed... a whole lot.

Personally, I found her very annoying in the dub, especially in DK when she was especially friendship-speechy. But she slowly started to grow on me.

Anzu, especially in Season 0, is much more awesome though. I like her a lot, in fact, she's one of my favourites. She keeps the group together.

Any thoughts on the leading lady of Yu-Gi-Oh?

It seems to have kind of died out. And I've been noticing a lot of Téa bashing recently.

I love her in the manga and I really don't think she was as annoying in DK as people made her out to be. She only had around 3 'friendship' speeches, one of which (to Kaiba) was absolutely necessary to show her strength as a character. What's wrong with supporting your friends when they have a nervous breakdown?

she didn't have any lame speeches in season 0
nor were there a lot of card games either

Is that the one where she says he spends too much time with machines and doesn't act human? I liked that speech too. The one I don't like is when she duels Mai. I liked how she was sticking up for and dueling for Yugi, but the friendship-speech is a little too overdone there.

If the Mai duel would have never existed, people would've liked her better.

The Kaiba speech was pretty rememberable.

Yes, I agree. But also, the part in the anime where she runs to stop Yugi didn't make her too popular with most viewers. If you take a look at the YouTube comments on that episode you'll find most of them are Tea-bashing. They seem to believe she's evil for stopping Yugi saving his Grandpa's soul. *shrug* YouTube comments don't usually make much sense anyway. "Let's forget that Yugi would practically be murderer if he had attacked."

I mean, HELLO HE'S TRYING TO SAVE HIS KID BROTHER, ASSHATS! Siblings > grandparents.

So yeah, Tea and I are pretty cool with one another. If you're a Kaiba fan, you owe Tea/Anzu a little respect.

Anzu is cool, but Téa got on my nerves. Not only was she freindship-speeching in Duelist Kingdom, but she just got annoying later in the series.

Anzu, however, was much better.

But I couldn't stand her in that one season... like with the gay german guy and Kaiba World..
That season was full of fail and uselessness.
