It is one of the simple joys in life to use a stuffed toy tied onto the end of a plastic rod with elastic string, cast it over the other side of the bed and go fishing for cats
a form of stuffed pasta which is nice, but no where near as good as tortellini or manicotti |

I actually know more European countries then that.
Sunk the Titanic is Greenland. Ireland is...I don't know I think it might be Ireland and a few other countries not just Ireland. England is Great Britian, so a number of countries not just England, Scotland is one of the other I'm not sure. North Pole is Finland, Sweden and Denmark I believe. Mother Russia is, Russia and some other countries that I don't actually know but I know there's more than Russia there. Swastika is Germany. France is well, France. Netherlands is Belgium and the unlabeled orange part is Austria and the unlabeled yellow part is...Serbia? (I think Italy might be tucked in somewhere there as well, or it's in Sparta) Austria/Hungry and Serbia are the East West (I always end up flipping East and West >_> ) most part labeled Mother Russia, whoops. Old Mexico I'm not sure what's there but probably Spain and a few other countries. Africa is, I've got no idea, it's the northern most part of the Continent and I think Egypt might be part of what's actually being shown. Not sure what's in the part labeled Israel but Israel might be in there, actually idk. Last edited by DarkPhoenix; 04-09-2016 at 07:06 PM. |

Based on conversations that I've had when some British people on here were new to serious discussions... that bottom picture is pretty spot-on. XD
I do know far more about Europe than that picture describes, partly because I've usually been pretty good at Geography while in school (I'm also usually good with directions), and partly because I've actually been to Europe, and specifically a part of Europe that used to be controlled by the communists and is no longer... I can't also speak for the general uneducated Americans though... but I'm pretty sure that the Nordic countries these days are known as the "socialists," not the North Pole. |

Ah, my mistake. I know more than the average American but my geography skills still kinda suck.

It's raining/trying to storm here but there is zero fucking wind, the trees are still and it's creepy as fuck.
And google is giving me no answers as to why, there is no sign of wind while there's a storm trying to brew. Like, if there was no wind and it was clear I probably wouldn't be as bothered, it's the lack of wind+storm that's getting to me, because what the fuck?!?!?! |

The island of Great Britain is made of the nations: England, Scotland and Wales. England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland make the COUNTRY of the United Kingdom. "Sunk the Titanic" is Iceland. Greenland is closer to Canada, and much bigger. "North Pole" is Norway, Sweden & Finland. Denmark is the orange pointy bit that sticks up from "The Nazis". "The Nazis" is Germany. "Mother Russia" incorporates most of eastern Europe, but very, very little Russia: Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro & Albania. "Netherlands" is the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Belgium The orange bit between France and Italy is Switzerland and Liechtenstein. "France (Pussies)" is actually France - Hooray! Plus Monaco. "Old Mexico" is Spain, Portugal & Andorra The yellow boot area is Italy, Sicily, San Marino, Vatican City and Malta. "Sparta", surprisingly is actually Greece. "Israel" is almost entirely Turkey with a little bit of Syria at the bottom. The little bit of "Africa" that is showing is actually Morocco, Algeria & Tunisia. |

Hey I did pretty good for someone who was never educated on the world outside of the US, and I still can't locate all of the US states, showing just how bad I am at geography.

Although I imagine that for someone from Europe, the northeastern states that are all tiny would also trip them up.

Not that I recall, was only in public school up until finishing 5th grade and the homeschooling books were complete shit.
Ended up not taking any classes that might have covered it in college. |

I did take a gen ed class in college called World Regions. I didn't like the professor much but the content was interesting. I also remember in grade school sometimes learning about the different continents' countries depending on the context of what we were learning. In third grade my teacher's religious order was traveling to Uganda so we got to learn a little bit about Uganda and what they were doing there. I also remember doing a project where you had to read a book about characters in a different country and we had to do a presentation on that country. I also remember that my school was kinda poor so their world maps were from the 80's, which meant that the Soviet Union was still on the map. |

Also, can't we just replace world geography lessons with 'Browse google maps for a few hours' instead? Watch out for dodgy action films from 1996. |
