The big ones? Yeah they're fun. :D I didn't like the grappling gloves my friend was wearing, they were small enough to slip through the face mask, so we learned. If you watch the last punch I take, that's why I called the match, I took the full force right on the bridge of my nose :S

Seriously though, a wedding will do things to a person, especially when you have ideas. Having an idea sucks. Because once you have one, you can't get it out of your head unless you act on it. See ever since I was little I loved to tell stories. I didn't realize this until I started going through old pictures and home movies, but I was always trying to convey a story. When I was too young to write my parents wrote out lines I dictated. When I could draw I was always using pictures to tell tales. From the moment I could hold a camera I was trying to make home movies. In elementary school I was doing video editing before I knew what video editing even was to make book reports by video instead of standing up in front of the class droning on. In high school I was back to using video as a medium to report and was even making homemade 'dramatic' movies with action figures. In college I began using computers to edit video footage from Japan.

In short, I don't know what I'm doing with my life, I should have gone to film school.

Anyway, starting with the proposal I began to learn how to use professional video editing software and thanks to a lot of help from friends online and in real life, I got pretty damn good at it. To the point where when seeking advice from experts onlne they were telling me it was impossible to accomplish what I wanted with what primitive software I had access to (the rage these days is all about After Effects which I can't make heads or tails of) but I managed to do everything I wanted, and more.

I'll start with the proposal story for newcomers but all of this represents not days, not weeks but months of work. I did a few rough estimate figures and it turns out these represent about 800 hours of work.

That's literally a solid month working on just these videos everything from storyboards to computer problems, scanning hundreds of photos, collecting digital copies from around the world, researching editing techiques, restarting due to hardware issues and transfering over 70 hours of analog video to digital form in real time twice.

So if you've got an hour or so to spare. Enjoy.
