This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

I'm kinda up in the air about cosplaying... I mean, me and my fiance made a pretty awesome Mechazawa costume out of a 50 gallon drum and some hard work. I just think that people should cosplay in their own gender. I know a lot of male anime characters are feminine but I still don't like to look at a cosplay of one I like and know that it was a chick inside it. I think a lot of guys feel the same way about other guys dressing like female characters. On another note, I am by no means a skinny or perfect figured girl but PLEASE choose a character that fits your body type. I mean, come on.... It's understandable you want to dress up like your favorite character but if you are not shaped like that person it's not going to look right. I don't mean to be judgemental... but I am.

I kinda agree with ya about body types. but I am fine as long as they are covered in the "Right" place's. Its like one time this "Large" Female cosplayer from a series I never heard of wore Spandex. So it was Like bulibus round with muffin top. We had one case of Blindness.

But at all means I say eveyone has the right to cosplay whatever they want. Just keep it PG-13ish. And I mean no Moosenuckle, camelToe, Etc. Thats what Stripers are for.....
Hmm A cosplay Strip club Awesome

I think that people should feel free to cosplay whoever they want within reason, hey i'm a girl and cosplaying a guy. But i don't really feel comfortable seeing guys dressed in lolita or school girl cosplay, it's a little disturbing. I know some people who are a little larger than average, who have adapted costumes to fit thier body type more.

<guys just heads up, JR hates man-faye, so may wish to hide him> (all who do not know, JR=mod)

=Anyway, as for cosplaying, I take myself way too seriously, to actually do it <__<, but think ok on the whole, as some sort of harmless fun, which hurts no one kind of thing, but I think can just be weird at times (AKA man-faye)

PS damn, girls wanting hugs-MCM, why-why damn you, did god forsake my 29th to a day of examination

I was thinking of trying to cosplay as Sailor Mars from SMA. Not sure if anyone else has done that yet. There are some abridged cosplayers, but most I saw were from YGOTAS.

It's more fun in trying to make it. So far, my other plans to cosplay were to cosplay as Kotone in the Rocket Grunt outfit, but with also her own hat in the same style. I have a sewing class at my school to also help me make it out as well.

Aww, come on, guys. Take it easy on the crossplayers. There are so many more guy characters that I can understand girls choosing them a lot.

Plus, I had a good time with it, and don't think it was too horrifying:

(I'm the one on the left, of course)

I know, it's not technically crossplay, since Haku is actually male, but I mean, it basically is.
[ I swear to god, you people who insist he's a girl make me so angry. >< ]

Also, credit to http://www.mikaspileofanime.com/ for the picture. I lost all of the pictures on my camera, and she was nice enough to email me that one.

When cosplay goes right, it looks absolutely amazing. The groups... Just, wow. For the lulz, try http://www.youtube.com/user/Malindachan. Her newest uploads have been at skit competitions at conventions, but she has some skits up were the costumes are immaculate. I especailly love the one with Yussei on his bike. Okay, for the conventions, the video quality sucks, but it's worth it.
But when it goes wrong... *Holds up a extra extra large bottle of mind bleach* I have this sitting around. =^-^=
I do intend to try cosplaying some time next year. Might try Vanille from the latest FF...

I just love any excuse to go around in costume! ^_^ Medieval Rennaissance fairs are my current specialty (I've got an AWESOME fairy warrior costume!), but I've always wanted to go to a convention with some friends and do the whole 9 yards! Cosplay, do a skit, freak out at getting to meet people like LK, etc.
I tried doing a Marik one for school once with stuff I just had lying around. My dad made an AWESOME Millenium Rod! ^_^ The rest was just normal clothes (+ a cape! ^-^), and I didn't add a wig or anything. I think it came out pretty well, but I would have liked it better if I didn't have to tote my backpack around with it the whole day! That made it harder!
I think cosplaying is really cool (as long as it's PG13, of course! ), especially when it comes out awesomely!
"We <3 Card Games" does some AWESOME skits and stuff! I love seeing people's skits! XD "Slipher's Clues" was EXCELLENT!!!

XD This one's kind of funny! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMAAYjUjXJc
