This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

EH. It depends. Last year, I only saw one good cosplayer. But then again, I'm really big on accuracy, and if one little thing is off, then I immediately dub it bad. I actually think cosplaying would be fun, but it only works if you're attractive, I'm told. xD I'm probably thin enough for it though. (So at least I won't be one of those repulsive cosplayers that are half naked with rolls all over the place.)

My guy friends use Gatsby hair wax. You'll notice that wax > gel.

I love it, i like to see what people have made for their outfits, though i don't cosplay much at all, i tend to lean to cosplaying as a male character. My friend that's a girl cosplay's as a girl character..o la la.
But it's all for fun and i hope everyone enjoys what they made and look like, have something to show off.. Oooooo la la

Where did you find the blue and white striped shirt? I can't seem to find one anywhere!

Default Help me please...

I was thinking about cosplaying as Marik and my friend wanted to be Bakura and another friend wanted to be Yami so we were talking about how we should sing Leather Pants at a convention. Does that sound gay or strange or wrong (we're all girls)?

its a convention, gay is not in any way a word in the con goers vocabulary, pretty much anything is in fair game and will probably be worshipped

I'm crossplaying as Marik for Manifest next year where LK has a panel because I can pull off an awesome abridged Marik voice :3 My friends are going as Yami Bakura and Ryou (and it's perfect because she's so short and cute ^^.
And yes, I have witnessed the horrors of bad cosplay *shudder* such as an estimated 150kg girl with a pink wig and "inner sakura" written on her forehead.

Being an Otaku is my way of life.
Cosplaying is my passion and expression. I simply love it.
I take pride in cosplaying thats why I pretty much don't like people who insults cosplayers like us D:

being a guy who only likes a select few anime's (ones you SHOULD NEVER COSPLAY AS) sort of limits my options, so as much as I want to, I know I shouldn't

Pfft, I know people who cosplay from Hentais. I would too if I could find a series I actually liked.

orly? which ones do you know?
I like to consider myself a hentai expert lol
I just don't want to have a bad DBZ cosplay, and besides DBZ I really only watch Rozen Maiden and I don't like the idea of wearing a dress

Unless the convention has a policy against dressing up as Hentai/Yaoi/Yuri characters it's all fair game.

I'm open on cross play too. This year I'm going as Hei from Darker Than Black.

My only problems are that I'm a big gal and the trench coat I bought is made of material that I can't dye,so I can't get the green underneath.

You could always sew it in, if the material will allow for that. You wouldn't even have to cover the entire inside; just the parts that show!

I don't even think that sewing would even work,it's made of that slippery kind of material. I thought about hot gluing in a similar color fabric but I don't even know if that will work.

I don't either, which is why I'm not really going to kill myself over the coat.

If the mask and weapons are authentic enough then I'm fine.

Well three years of Youmacon with the kids and they finally got me to cosplay for the fourth. Kids do it every year and love it, of course they are completely otaku. While a major undertaking, getting ready each morning, it was really cool to see the reactions from everyone. the kids all went as Vocaloid this year and there is never a shortage of those. Being stopped every few feet to get your pic taken does have draw backs.

Here I am at the episode #50 debut, the guy in the pic with me is doing a documentary about cons.

Oh and wait for next years...going to blow minds

You've posted that somewhere before but it looks good. Man, if you were in BC, I'd so ask for a picture or something.

I'd post the group from AE '10 but I'd be lying if I said we weren't a bit of a mess. It was fun and I love these guys but they might get mad at me so have just me as a chubby/fat Ryou. (The other girl in the photo won't mind)

I need to actually style the wig and that other girl kind of forced the duel disk on me. I hate the damn thing. The whole thing is mediocre at best so be nice.
