YGO vs Magic the gathering

Which do you think is a better game? I think YGO is better because it doesn't have stupid OP stuff like Sol Ring in tournaments. And it has a fun anime with an awesome abriged series to go with it. My friends say to give Magic a try but I just can't appreciate it without an abriged series to laugh at while I play. What is your opinion on this?
