I’m not doing too bad. I feel you on working like a mule; my job has been really busy ever since the pandemic started and it just started to experience a lull. I’m on vacation this week for the first time in years but dreading going back tbh

see, we were the opposite: i work in HVAC so we were slow as hell last year, but now that lockdowns are lifting and stuff's opening back up, we suddenly got suuuuuuuper busy, it's been nearly 3 months of 50+ hour weeks

Doing well overall, applying for a promotion that should up my pay by ~20-25% which is super handy. Very bored of living in a 2 bed flat with two young kids though, can't wait to move somewhere with a garden.

Feels like I've been running ragged since March last year. Covid made us super busy and we had loads of experienced staff leave at the same time, so I've been running our IT team nearly solo at some points. Hopefully we can finally hire a quality team and get them trained up by the end of the year.
