This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

It was hilarious when it wasn't supposed to be. And it being 2 and half hours, i don't remember there being much actually going on.

JUST SAW IT!

Easily 2nd best, if not best one yet. It goes now:

Prisoner of Azkaban
Order of the Pheonix
Sorceror Stone
Chamber of Secrets
Goblet of Fire or switch the top two.

The emotion in this one just beat everything else away, I almost started crying during the part where he fought back control of his mind at the end, and there's no need too. The action in this one, although scarce, was better than all teh rest be far, amazing, some of that SH*T got so out of wack, Harry and the other kids MUST have thought at one point "What the hell were we thinking?" seeing that shit go down. Amazing.

Now if only the choreographer for this one was in Goblet of Fire, Goblet was all about the action, and it fell very short on that aspect, plus TERRBILE fluidity of the story, but if it at least had the action from this, man it may have been good.

He has always but I never would have laughed at it but I have now seen the abridged episodes of YGO and Bakura says always that kinda thing... It sound so funny!! x]

I'll say this first to get it out of the way: I don't like the Harry Potter books. JK Rowling is NOT a good writer.
This said, I have the urge to keep up with Harry Potter simply so I can know what in the heavens people are on about.
When I borrowed the BOOK, I gave in back about 50 pages in and said "FFS, just tell me who dies and how."

I'm much happier to waste an afternoon in the cinema than to waste weeks on a book - and it was an afternoon well wasted. Plus it was well wasted with two very good friends. All in all, it was decent enough. Also Cho is superspecialcute.

Was very tempted to go "ORLY" after Fudge's line. Very tempted. Half of the cinema laughed at that point anyway though, so it wasn't necessary.

The book was like: blah blah
The movie was like: Blh bAhLh

It you get what I mean; The movie didn't make sense at all. They used spells which the found in the next part (Half-Blood Prince) and now the mention the whole flying in dust thingy (which Voldemort only can in The Deadly Hallows).

It's worth a 7.5/10 for great special effects and ofcourse the Prophecy Balls scene with all the glass. (which I rly liked alot!)

EDIT: Oh, and Sjoerd Willem and me rly did say "O REALY!" when Fudge saw Voldy.

It entertained me, and didn't feel as rushed as the 4th movie, for me at least. The end fight scene was great, but the movie didn't seem like it could stand alone. For the part of my family that hasn't read the books, I always wonder how they understand what the hell is going on. The movies are companions for the books imo.

Weeks wasted on a Harry Potter book? Try hours. I can see why you would choose a movie over a book which requires thought.

My least fav book is now my fav film. (out the series not in general!)
It still was nothing on the book as the films always are, but i actually liked this film, they havent butchered the characters as much in this one as they have in the others, apart from Harry!
GRRR
SPOILER!
Why does harry in the film have to be i all knowing everything, why was he telling Dumbledore bout the prophacy? They made Dumbledore a redundant character in that film. Loved the part with the huge fight at the MOM though, very nice!!
End Spoiler!

I thought it was pretty cool. I mean, it isn't the best of the movies so far but that doesn't mean it was bad. Though that actor for Professor Umbridge had really brought out her character well from the book (well I didn't read it but my family has told me about it). Although it does leave room for improvement and what not, the movie was througoughly (sp?) enjoyable. Usually I don't like number/star ratings so I'm putting this one on a must-see-movies list. ^_^b

I never thought the movies were as good as the books, but OotP really impressed me. The scene in the DoM with all those huge shelves filled with prophecies was great. Got plenty of Jason Isaacs right there ;p

I'm surprised at how they gloss over Severus Snape though. I understand that the intensity of his character would probably be a little too much, but the way they cast him off as vague comic relief..... I suppose they don't want the movie fans to hate him very much, so that what will happen in Movie 7 won't be too sort of like OH EM GEE GASP SHOCK HORROR, if ya get what I mean.

OotP was my least favourite book. that said, i rather enjoyed the movie. i have come to terms with the fact that they will butcher the books beyond repair. now i enjoy them as a movie.
i still got pissed off at certain parts, like the whole less screen time for importatnt charcters (why malfoy? WHY???) and changing it to be cho who reveals the DA (cho is a ho!!) and them all getting the punishment and there being no firenze, and using levicorpus(he finds out about that in book 6!!!), and the lack of important parts i forget right now in my anger, but otherwise ok.
i like the little parts they chose to keep, like tonks changing her nose at dinner, grawp (yay grawpy!!) and the writing in blood. and snape's little scene, about whether he got the DADA job. and the whole DoM scene i loved. even though it would have been better with the brain room, etc., it was wonderfully actioned packed.
i also love the new actors, for luna, bella, tonks and umbridge. all very good.

actually, i also found the movie very amusing. everytime i saw lucius, i yelled in the theatre "PIMP CANE!!!" because he has a pimp cane, and it's awesome.
i also burst out laughing at a very intense moment. you all know near the end, when voldy possesses harry, and is all "look at me". i was feeling it, and loved it. and then the showed this, and i burst out laughing. <img src='http://tn1-2.pv.deviantart.com/fs16/150/f/2007/199/2/b/Voldemort_Tongue_Flick_Avatar_by_squash08.png' border='0' />
how could i not? it looks like he wants to lick harry.
and because i'm such a huge YGO:TAS fan, i automatically thought this: <img src='http://tn3-1.deviantart.com/fs17/300W/f/2007/199/e/f/Voldemort_Tongue_Flick_Caption_by_squash08.png' border='0' />
please don't kill me!!

It was okay, but the plot seemed kind of redundant.

This one is, ironically, my favourite HP movie so far.
Sirius was properly interpreted by Oldman this time... (i always knew it was Cauron fault... the prisoner of Askaban was my favourite HP book... and i never liked the movie) the "Father and son" like scene was awesome.
I loved all the interpretations this time... Luna, Tonks, Umbridge... they where all great. just like i expected them to be... exept that Tonks was hotter (?) (lol?)
Even the "new" Dumbledore was great... no offence but the old one WAS Dumbledore (too baaad he is dead)... this one just roleplay.
I also liked some of the minor "changes" on the relationship betwen Harry and Cho.

I do have my critics though... the scene of Snape´s memories should have been a bit longer and the battle at the ministery of magic should have been "darker".
I wanted to see Harry taunting Bellatrix... he was like an histerical wimp on the book... and that was his "redemption moment" but since he was normal on the movie it´s ok. (besides they changed it for the Star wars moment...wich BTW was a lot better than the one in episode 3... shame on you Lukas)
And i wanted to see the "OMFG Hermione is dead moment" but hey... can´t get everything.

I thought it went along with the book too well.

To the point of not being a film.
exactly... it was like a 'Previously on Harry Potter' kind of thing

I was REALLY upset that the whole Harry/Dumbledore exchange didn't happen. I mean.. that was basically the whole book! But no... Harry was like all 'I like you and I'm so happy to see you!! Sirius is dead, but at least you're here!', and Dumbledore just did the whole 'everything is ok now harry, for the time being'

ughhhhhhhh :P
