This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

Default Movies everyone hated EXCEPT you

I don't movies that are underrated, or movies that did not do well at the box office but gained a cult following. List movies that the critics hated and were lambasted on the internet but you were like "Well that was not so bad. I don't know what there problem is." And movies you liked that were MST3K do not count. I'll start.

Joe Dirt I thought was funny.

I'll think of some more later.

The Matrix Reloaded. I cannot for the life of it understand why people liked the Matrix and disliked the sequel. It had better action, better philosophy. Granted the disappearence of Tank was annoying, but I thought the Oracle and Smith were perfect, yet everyone seemed to hate it!

I don't know why other people didn't like it, but I thought Little Nicky was really funny.

Star Wars Episode 1: Phantom menace.

Every body hated it, I just wanted another Star Wars. Same goes for Indy 4.

HAH

Me too. I thought Scary Movie 3 as a whole was a pretty stupid movie, but there were some scenes in it that made me laugh.

Everyone bags on Independence Day, and I have no idea why, I thought it was great. *hides behind couch?*
Has a bunch of great/strong moments eg:
*after the nuke launched by the stealth fails to destroy the alien craft.. "target remains... i repeat.. target remains" (I'm thinking, the aliens are like 'yeah, whatever they just launched didn't do anything because of our hax shield, but whatever it was made a f***ing massive explosion O_O' they should have been wise enough to leave earth after that ^.^)
*the president's morale speech to the pilots at area51
*when they hax the laughing jolly roger onto the alien's computer screen (try to put yourself in the alien's position, you're overrunning the planet of some "smart" [technology making] species of creature and you seem to be unstoppable, then this figure [jolly roger/skull and crossbones] of what their dead skull looks like appears on your screen, and it's laughing!.....uhhhhhh WTH! , then you get hit with a rocket (nuke) with a funny looking red light up thing on it, hmmmm 00:04, 00:03, 00:02, 00:01 hmmmBANG XD )

Epic Movie was pretty good and I have no idea what is the matter with people when it comes to the Love Guru... seriously, people do not know humor anymore even when it's shoved up their asses. I think Mike Myers was really good in that movie and anyone who wants to disagree openly with me can take it up with me and my axe. <img src='/images/emoticons/smiley1.png'>

I haven't seen Epic Movie yet, It kinda looked good, I saw Meet The Spartans after a friend from a foreign country kinda recommended it (must have different humour), it was so horrendously bad I'll never forget it, I saw up to the gold fat guy but couldn't go any further, returned it right after that for effect to the video store clerks :)
I thought 2 moments were funny, the way 'real spartan men greet each other' and when they were leaving sparta with that stupid 'march' during that song 'i will survive', even though I hate that song.
Love Guru looked bad from the ads, looked like Mike was trying too hard.

Nor was it epic, satirical, or comedic. It was bland, akin to being the Big Mac & Fries of the cinema world (i.e. It was successful because of the average joe and his underdeveloped taste in humour and possibly due to some clever marketing campaign using half the film's budget, but there's no way in hell you can call this film legendary/profound/notable/etc. since it's just filler).

And, just like McDonald's, Friedberg/Seltzer will keep producing this crap because people buy into it.

Superhero movie was a bad film but was better than the normal crap that those people churn out. For once the story was coherant and on several occasions it was actually funny and satirical. Fart jokes aside, it was a funny film that I find myself hating and liking at the same time.

Thankfully, Friedberg/Seltzer had no part in it and it was David Zucker (see Scary Movie 3 & 4) who produced it. In comparison to Epic Movie/Meet the Spartans, it was comedy gold and not merely an amalgamation of unrelated films put together with an incoherent plot ... Yes, a well-developed plot is paramount, even for a comedy film trying to sail on the successes of other films.

However, for the few parts that were funny, I was disappointed with its product placements and toilet humor (which you've alluded to). So, it was so-so.

I think this was the same issue with Scary Movie 3 & 4 where for every part that was funny, there was an equally lame part that wasn't, which balanced it out. Maybe there's some Law of Conversation of Humor which I'm unaware of.

I liked the The Spirit, although I didn't get a chance to read any of the comics before I saw it. But it was still entertaining.
And UHF, all of us Weird Al fans loved it, and it was so much better at parodying then the "insert genre"-movie movies we keep getting.

I luffed The Spirit! I've actually become addicted to it since Comi-Con last year. I also really liked The Comebacks, same for Balls of Fury & Anchorman. Older ones that no one seems to like would have to be Beetle Juice & Robin Hood Men in Tights. It Just seems like the majority of people were bored by those movies....But I love<3

both Matrix sequels I think were incredible. But a really bad movie that I loved was The Wizard. It was a large part of my childhood and after rewatching it last year (the VHS is next to impossible to find btw) I can tell that its a bad movie but it still made me smile.

Definetley the Phantom Menace.

If you ignore some of the stupider scenes, i.e. with Jar Jar, and some of Anakin's lines, then it still had a very similiar feel to the original trilogy - the sequels however completely lost that feel..But they were still decent movies.

triff, I agree with you everyone goes on about the final one, but I felt that was just watching few quorny love scenes and one big sword fight,

Phantom Menace however was ok movie with at lest some plot, and if he had not tried so hard to appeal to kids with characters like Jar Jar, it would have been pretty good movie

Well ... that scene had me in hysterics, at least.
