What is with this sudden romanticizing of vampires? They suck your blood and kill you. Bela Lugosi and Max Shreck are rolling in their graves.

You should read the books they are very good reads. I think the way people use vampires changes ever decade or so. Taliesin Jaffe they ADR Director on Hellsing was explaining how they always seem to represent sexual taboos of the times, and how it was going to shift again. He was thinking ones that transform into different things, even he could not have seen Twilight coming.
