at the first glance it looks like it, I agree. But when I started looking closer (lol, I always kinda stare the heck out of pictures) I noticed the content and realized what serious and sad topic it had

well, I think a less distracting clothing would have taken away less of the viewer's attention and it would have been easier to focus on the main topic.
Then again, the carefree outfit might be used to create a contrast to the tragic content - saying that we aren't fully aware things like that make the earth die and we only realize when it's too late. But only dragonqueen can really tell us why she chose that character. |

this picture intrests me if you didnt have that red thing in there i find it boring but yet a cool picture i love when people make their photography raise all sorts of questions in their heads. great job! |

it's the union jack <img src='/images/emoticons/smiley7.png'> hehe
Im glad it raised questions! thats certainly what I intended it to do, personally I meant it to show pride and patriotic..ness? can still exist in a place as derelict as this...I dont know if you noticed but the houses are all boarded up. becsue something certainly is rotten in the state of england at the moment my tutor on the other hand thought it showed how as our society becomes more diverse, our notion of who we are fades into the distance. i like that idea...but i also think diversity is a good thing ^_^ -x |

I shall be posting in here, a small collection of some of my photography.
I particularly enjoy Still Life photography because it allows you to set up and manipulate any part of the image before the photo is taken, and there are no real time restrictions aside from exposure time in some cases. It means that every part of the composition of the image is of my creation. However, my particular photographic talent is actually in portrait photography. It has been said that my portraits capture the personality of the subject, rather than just their likeness. I won't be posting any of my portraits on here though, because I doubt the subjects would appreciate their faces on the internet for the whole world and it's mother to see. I do partake in landscape photography as well, which I enjoy, but I don't get very much opportunity to take many landscapes. I will post a triptych of a particular landscape, edited in different ways, later on. For now, some still life: All taken with a Canon EOS 350D and a Canon EF-S 60mm Macro Lens "Macro" Photography does feature rather highly in my still life work: |
