So I did some research and found out that some of the bot spammers may not be bots at all. Certain online gaming sites, especially gambling sites, pay people to post their links in comment sections, blog posts, forums, etc. So some of these that seem like real people might actually be.

Amusingly, link spammers are encouraged to post decoy links that don't always lead to the site that is paying them. This is to supposedly trick people into thinking the link posting is just some strange quirk this person has. Why so many of these link spammers are choosing to post on a forum with about 5 active users is beyond me though. Sometimes I come on here to lurk after a few weeks and I get the impression that they have outnumbered the actual community.

Didn't even notice that the 18+ section was gone. I never went in there anyway. The 14+ section however is still there.

That's because Photobucket decided to alienate its entire userbase.
Seriously, I got an email from them accusing me of stealing bandwidth.

... I was using my account for the exact purpose it was designed - as a place to upload images for posting on internet forums.

But then they decided, NOPE! We're going to paywall the whole thing and call all our old users thieves.

So I responded in the only appropriate way: deleting my account and giving them a scathing email.
