I actually have a theory about Unohana.
That theory is, she use to be a blood knight that could have made Kenpachi...I want to say wet himself but I think he'd just jizz his pants. Anyway she use to be this serious blood knight but then after a particular battle she lost the love of fighting and decided to become a healer even though that was like the thing she was worst at but she didn't give up and became a top notch healer. This is what Dr. Pampador was going on about while insulting her and being all "you couldn't heal them, could you?" it's because healing is completely against her true talents. And when he said "you know what you have to do now, right" he meant she had to suck it up and go kick ass, which is where her true talent lies.
