This is the biggest issue I have with the fan base. They go off and say how bad GX, and 5D's are, and praise the original Yu-Gi-Oh! like God made Adam allowed to eat the forbidden fruit. It's a spin-off.

Spin-off. Going in expecting a bunch of original Yu-Gi-Oh stuff... is just not how you do it. Are we going off and saying Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games are pure trash for not being like main series Pokemon games? Not many seem to...

I don't care if anyone thinks 5D's is crap. I like it. I can give my review on it. At least I actually said why I liked it with more than, "NOT YUGIOH!"

I didn't go in thinking it was a spin-off of Yugioh... In fact I never do. If I don't consider it as Yugioh it's even worse...

Or else i would think Yu-gi-oh duel monsters was trashed cause its not like the original... 5D's is dumb like I said.

I like 5D's. I like Yusei, I like the plot, I like the class system, I like the setting, and I likethe soundtrack. As a Pols major (joint degree woo!), the class system interests me and the dystopia in it reminds me of a lot of Lit books.

It isn't YGO but it is really good. (I haven't watched enough GX to have an opinion but the episodes I did see, I didn't like)

What about it is "dumb"? The motorcycles? If you actually watch it, not all the duels are on D-Wheels, and they're not just there for show, either, they change the rules of the game. Don't go spouting off how a show is dumb and the not explaining why you think that, it makes you look bad.

I mean, when I first heard about 5D's, I thought it would be really stupid too, "what, card games on motorcycles, come oooon," but then I actually watched it and I liked it as much as the original YGO anime. The motorcycles actually do make sense, it activates a thing called "Speed World" that makes it so only quick(speed)-spells can be played, which changes how the game works, and it also makes it more complicated to make a deck if you use both a D-Wheel and do normal duels.

What? I barely know any guys who listen to metal (then again I also know very few girls who do, either). I like metal, I don't know why everyone else seems to hate it.

Okay. I will admit it. As much as I try to hate anything but the original, I can't. I have sat myself in front of the tv on Saturdays and watched 5Ds. It is different in a good way. I will admit that Yusei is pretty awesome and the class system is pretty fucked up but it adds to the motives and stuff for the characters so its pretty interesting. I'm not a super fan, but I like it mostly. Its actually alot darker to me than the original version. They actually put a bit more action than cardgames in it.
Oh and I know. I too am a huge HEAVY METAL and METAL fan!!! (Metallica preferably! OH yeah!) People don't ever believe me when I tell them. They scoff and leave like I'm some sort of freak. And when I was younger, while everyone else was listening to Radio Disney, (ughhh! Blahh! *gags*) I was singing along to Enter Sandman on the buzz!!!

I told you why... It's boring. I could care not about the way they duel... The story line and chars are dull, The only redeemable character is Jack and the setting makes little to no sense.
