This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

Oh dear god. It's... hideous. What in the hell is wrong with the "original intended card effect" version? Nothing. It is perfect, and fits the style followed for years and years and years. Put simply, the first one isn't, doesn't, and makes me want to self harm.

i know. we need a petition started ASAP. there are enough people who would find this bad enough that we could stop it.

If this franchise can survive Xyz summoning, it can survive anything, that said, it'll probably come out a shell of its former self.

Don't you think you're overreacting a little? I mean, it's just a card game.

In any case, they won't change anything that's already been released.

I hate it when people say its "just" something, as if we're not allowed to be mad about them screwing something we like up completely just because its not a vital part of existence. We like the game, and we're entitle to be mad if they're gonna spoil our fun.

But how can we gain attention to such a petition? Boycott Xyz cards? Burn signs with the Zexal logo on it? Tack our petition onto the stop Uwe Boll petition (which could actually work and get rid of the bastard once and for all)? How can we send a message to the copywrite holders in Japan that we want them to stop?

What exactly is the problem here? Is there too much text on the cards? They look the same as they always did aside from the novel underneath the example card. Granted, I haven't played the game in several years, but I didn't see anything that would "ruin" the game.

Well, you know the old adage about people not liking change. To me, it doesn't matter - I proably won't end up using them as anything but for the card collection.

Seems like they've been rectifying some of the problems:

http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Tour_Gu...the_Underworld
http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Yu-Gi-O...d/Reborn_Tengu

I actually purchased the Dawn of the XYZ deck as a curiosity and I have to say that I did understand the instructions, and I agree with swapping phrases (Target instead of select a monster, Banish instead of remove card from play). Just months ago people were complaining about the Winged Dragon of Ra being unfaithful, but that card had the maximum possible readable text. Imagine what they could do by swapping a few phrases here and there.

Basically the issue here is re-wording phrases we're familiar with to save up on space or make it simpler for the player to understand?

...

Cry some more.
